i think you should tryu pointing the apt manager to another server closer to your place and give it a try. Pointing it to a debian repo will also change the software sources and will intimate you a lot of updates which are not approved and check by linuxmint.

true when it finds that the conf file is missing it will create a new conf and would ve detected that hardware has changed. same as soing a reconfigure

i think your best bet would be to use a similar install in another computer in the sense u have to have another linux mint install in another comp. Hi there thanks for trying to solve my problem but unfortunately changing it to true also dint help, Still the same problem. I have installed wifi radar and wicd network manager to control the wifi. offline upgrading from cd to dvd version
Good day, As i have many computers where i would like to use mint4win as well as install cd version and upgrade to dvd version is it possible to download the installation files once and then upgrade in many computers without connecting to internet. kindly advise as it would save a lot of data usage.

hello frens, noticed that only the cd no codec version has mint4win installer as per the release notes stating it does not support big files, But linuxmint 10 dvd had mint4win in it. Can anyone clarify as i use mint4win as my install mode.
