hello can someone please tell me what disk error 80 is? i get this error on both my desktop and my laptop when i try to test or install mint 6 or 7. mint 5 however seems to be ok but i really want to try the new one so any help or experience is appreciated.

i found something of a simple solution for this problem. since mint will see the windows network and will let me access the shared documents folder with no problems, i simply copied all the files that i might want to access to the folder and had no problems reading or writing to them.

Husse, thanks for the info, i understand the virtual concept but after reading the workaround is using linux as the host O.S and windows as the guest O.S in virtual box a viable workaround? my understanding is that you can print but not scan, which is acceptable to me but are files created in linux ...

i checked the specs on that and frostwire requires java 1.5 or higher....... mint comes with 1.6 installed correct? if so what else would you suggest?
