LibreOffice Impress crashing

Has anyone seen this happen before? When I'm running LibreOffice Impress, I'm getting a crash when using transitions. Specifically, when I use the smoother transitions that used to be in the separate OpenGL set, and only on the second time one of these transitions is displayed. For example: I start ...

Re: Calendar Appointments [SOLVED]

I wouldn't exactly call this solved. Having to run a full-blown calendar app that covers what you are working on does not replace the ability to quickly click on the Calendar applet to see a dropdown with the calendar and any appointments, and then quickly get back to work. We used to have this abil...

Re: [solved] cant install vulkan

This was marked as solved, but there is no solution listed that I can see. It would help the rest of us having these same issues if the actual solution was posted. How was this solved?!

Re: Minor theme edits

That's exactly what I was looking into, but probably going about it the wrong way. Thank you! I've updated the zip file link in my post above, in case anyone wants to give it a quick test run themselves.

Re: Minor theme edits

Ack! I found one more tweak to make. The submenus that pop out to the side of both drop-down and right-click menus have square top corners. I would like those to be all rounded. If anyone has suggestions, I'll take them, but I'm also going to try to see if I can't figure this out myself as well. Scr...

In case anyone is interested in experiencing the final results of our tweaking, here are the files (linked from my Google Drive because the forum attachment upload limits were too small): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ok6A2hvKg3w81HsQqunRPm5KhZXgRjKY/view?usp=sharing In the .zip folder: - The New...

Re: Minor theme edits

Hint - if you add this code block to the file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css it will apply to whatever theme you use. It works quite well across a large variety of themes - not just Mint X. Create this file if it doesn't exist. After making edits log off and back on to ensure it's being applied to all a...

Re: Minor theme edits

That doesn't seem to be making any difference. The right-click menu is still following the same look as the drop-down menus.

Re: Minor theme edits

I've solved the problem of having space at the bottom of the menu in order to keep the highlighting squared off, while having the corners rounded, by playing with the padding. I'm still a little worried that the right-click menu is following the same settings as the drop-down menu, so I can't seem t...

Re: Minor theme edits

Also, right-click menu (not the menubar menu) needs rounded corners on all sides, not just the bottom. How would that be changed?

Re: Minor theme edits

I made the above changes, and I'm still getting some weirdness at the corners, with the black border ending at the curve. Would it be possible to get rid of the black border altogether, and maybe make the shadow behind the menu a little stronger to add the definition the border currently offers? Scr...

Re: Minor theme edits

That looks like it could work. Is there a way to have just the bottom part of the menu extend below the highlighting, but still allow the highlighting to extend all the way to the left and right edge of the menu? That's the look I'm going for. (Yeah, I'm picky! :) )

Re: Minor theme edits

Thank you for your reply! I've got the slider bar looking exactly like I want it now, which was my main focus. But the menus are still problematic. Even if I change the border-radius, it's just not getting the desired effect yet. The first problem is the black border. It does odd things when I chang...

Re: Minor theme edits

Just for clarification, here are images. One is the original Mint-X slider, the other is a mock-up of what I want to edit it to look a little more like (not the best graphic work, sorry). I would post the same for the drop-down menus, but I can't make screenshots with menus open, at least with the d...

Minor theme edits

I enjoy casually tweaking Mint here and there, and I've been wanting to tweak theming because I'm not 100% satisfied with any theme I've run across. My favorite theme is still the old Mint-X, as I don't like the "flat" trend, and Mint-X preserves some dimensionality that I like. That said, there are...

Re: Can't Print to New Copy Machine at Work

Sorry it took a while to get back. We moved office locations. After moving and getting the network set up and connected, the copy machine now prints fine. As far as I can tell, there is no difference other than physical location, but maybe there was some sort of firewall on the system I couldn't det...

Re: Can't Print to New Copy Machine at Work

No, I haven't found a solution. My workaround had been to save as PDF to a flash drive and walk it over to the copier and print it from there. Not at all ideal.

Clementine info not in sound menu

I'm running Linux Mint 19.1 64-bit Cinnamon. One of my favorite music players is Clementine. The problem: While the program shows up in the sound menu under "Launch player", it doesn't display any information in the sound menu while playing music. No cover art, no play controls, no titles on the pan...

Re: Can't Print to New Copy Machine at Work

Also, on the openprinting.org website http://www.openprinting.org/printer/Ric ... MP_C3004ex, the drivers are reported to work "perfectly". So, I'm wondering if there's a CUPS problem or a connection problem that I'm not seeing.
