Re: Nemo Slow to Load Folders [Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon]

Try to delete files from ~/.thumbnails/large and ~/.thumbnails/normal and make ~/thumbnails/gnome-exe-thumbnailer.files empty. Does that helps?

Re: fm3 preliminary package for testing.

This is a good reason why it should not be the default, but i still feel that, if a distro aims to be lightweight, every opportunity to remove a daemon is welcome. And if somebody experienced enough, can manually update the menu, or assign the menu update method to a key.

Re: fm3 preliminary package for testing.

ju1ius's work looks very promising for me. I like the idea of a native daemon and the dpkg trigger mode.

Re: Status of LMDE Fluxbox?

Also ju1ius has worked on mint-menu. Maybe you should contact him if he have some time to help you out.

Ikey also did some work, can't you get his code and continue it?

Re: Fluxbox next?

One little suggestion. I'm fond of the default key bindings of ArchBang distributions. I think those makes the system very usable. And in the default conky config there is a nice documentation about those bindings, I like the whole idea. Every time I use a lightweight distribution I set up similar b...

Re: Fluxbox next?

Well, I like the colors and the theme. However ( This is only my personal opinion ): - I do not like rounded windows in fluxbox ( it doesn't do it in a nice way since it is a lightweight WM, so I prefer the old school look ). - I do not like rounded menus. I would not like them even if the edges of ...

Will some of this work: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=142&t=54206 be included in that version?

Re: mint-fm2 code enhancements suggestions

Will any part of this work be included in the next release? It would be awesome to have a python or c applet instead of the bash one. And the ability to switch to dpkg trigger mode from the daemon mode would also be great.

Re: panel/toolbar config

What about to have a submenu in the right click menu similar to the one that crunchbang has which contains the config files that users most likely want to edit?

So you can open the startup file, the conky config file, the tint2 config file etc.. with a few clicks.

Re: Different panel for Mint 9???

I'm using a hotkey that starts alsamixer. So I can easily set the sound on a kind of gui, and don't have an applet running for that all the time.

Re: Different panel for Mint 9???

It is a minority majority issue.

The majority said that, they are more happy with tint2.

The minority can remove tint2 and replace with the original fluxbox panel.

Re: mint-fm2 code enhancements suggestions

Sounds interesting. So the menu with triggers would work with any distro + openbox/fluxbox if that distribution uses dpkg? :?: Do you prefer a fully automated menu at the cost of having to run a daemon, or do you prefer to save a few megs of RAM at the cost of having to push a putton each time you i...

Re: Mint FM2 version 3 tutorial (for Mint Fluxbox 9 Isadora)

Hi!

Could you write a brief changelog what changed in the new version of mint-fm2?

I'm curious ( and maybe it helps when I'm considering to update from my recent Mint fluxbox 8 or not).

Re: Starting heavy development on Mint 9 Fluxbox.

What about migrating next release of fluxbox CE to openbox? :D Its a more active project that doesn't have the flash bug, and it's more lightweight. It could share more code with lxde edition so could save some work, furthermore those 2 editions could be installed easily next to each other withput a...

Re: HOWTO: desktop icons in fluxbox with idesk

A small aplication would be awesome, which would help users to make the icons. It could have a settins part, when ppl can do basic configuration such as icon size etc, and an add icons part, where icons could be added based of .desktop files. One more feature is: setting icon's place. For example us...
