I have ubuntu on one drive and mint on another. I am attempting to update grub to dual boot. Each drive had a separate install with no other drives installed. I wanted mint to be my default. I can boot there no problem. In order to get ubuntu to show up on grub i ran "update-grub" and it p...

Re: Dual boot multiple hard drives

That seemed to get rid of the raid errors that I was seeing, so I found the following: sudo apt-get install os-prober sudo os-prober sudo mv /boot/grub/device.map /boot/grub/device.map.bak sudo update-grub (came back clean) reboot (all is well) Fixed! Thanks for the hand, and fast response.

[Fixed] Dual boot multiple hard drives

I have tried every guide out there with no luck. I am trying to run mint on one hard drive and W7 on another with grub asking which to boot. I have yet to be able to get grub to show windows 7 at the boot menu. Any suggestions?

Re: Multiple Application Sounds Not Playing

Well the two specific apps that I am using are wine, and Me-TV. I believe pulse audio is standard for mint, but I think wine uses ALSA by default. I have noticed that when I start both applications, the sound works with both. As soon as i minimize one, I lose the sound from the minimized one, until ...

Multiple Application Sounds Not Playing

When I have multiple applications running, I only get sound from the one that is in use. I watch TV picture in picture, so if I am doing something else, like playing a game, I lose sound on my TV application.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

[Fixed] Apple Keyboard

Hello all, loving Linux Mint. First time poster, long time reader. Keyboard question below. I have an apple keyboard, and of course the function keys do not function as I am accustomed. So I found this workaround to make them function like normal keys. 1. Edit or create the file /etc/modprobe.d/hid_...
