I have just removed the disk from disk drive and then put it back in for like the 100th time and this time it appears to be working just going through the install now havent a clue what I did wrong there, lets just hope it goes through ok. the hard drive is brand new and empty we shall see what this...

Live Cd Asking for a password?

I have put linux on a few computers now and never had this problem I am trying to install LM9 gnome edition on to a desktop
computer and it asks me for a password I am doing this via an external disk drive as the disk drive built in has seen better days .

Any Ideas

Synaptic Problem

Downloading packages via synaptic is taking hours sometimes days, when downloading for example a movie or a film the speed is fine which is why I believe its Synaptic, help.

I got this back when installing Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libmjpegtools0c2a (>= 1:1.8.0) so I am guessing that wants me to downgrade package ill see what else relies on that package and go from there

Its a tiny little net book on a desk so air flow should be fine. cpu is on the on demand setting and the fan is working, it is a little cooler today at 50c. Think it is because I use it so much the heat builds up.

Whats a good system temp to be at? mine runs at 61c which for my system is weirdly high but its been running for 11 hours doing video playback and gaming.

according to my best friend google thats almost double what it should be?
