LMDE XFCE | Hibernate Issue
Hi guys, I have recently installed LMDE XFCE on my Acer Aspire One Happy and have found it most nice to use (was a bit of a pain getting it on there), however the one issue I have having is that it does seem to like Hibernating as when I restore the computer it boots freshly, and Firefox brings up i...

Re: DVD+R Burning - Mint Isadora x64
Update: Well it seems that I am able to burn DVD-R discs (I "borrowed" one from work). So it seems that it is just DVD+R discs that won't burn, however I have been using these same discs to burn using Gentoo Linux and Windows Vista / 7.

Hello, I having a problem which I have thus far been unable to solve, or find the answers to on the almighty Google. :( Basically I have been trying to burn some stuff to a DVD however every time I try it fails. Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
There will only be a 32bit RC of mint kde. But there will be a final 32 and 64bit mint kde. There are not enough differences between 32 and 64 bit variants to make an RC for both. I have found that KUbuntu doesn't see more than 3ish GB of RAM in the 32-Bit version, is this the case with Mint? If so...

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
Clem has mintified Debian before, and he maybe going to doing again. I am looking at making a Debian KDE mint edition. I think it would be good, but I don't know if there are any problems with that. I know that Debian has a much longer release cycle, and doesn't include alot of stuff. So might be m...

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
I get that mouse freezing and sluggish-ness all the time with MintKDE8 on my laptop. Had to run the liveCD on Compatibility mode (as normal mode would just freeze after the kernel loads) Never managed to get it to install properly, due to some input/output error that kept happening during installti...

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
I wouldn't mind knowing how to "Mintify" a distro so that I could do that with Debian.

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
I *tried* installing Kubuntu to try and get a sneak-peek at what we might be in store for. I can't even install kubuntu though! I keep getting this: http://i47.tinypic.com/14tqwx3.jpg (after I click continue it sends me back to the partitioner where none of my changes are saved. When I redo my part...

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
Cool.
I am eagerly awaiting the release. I look forward to seeing your work, I have heard nothing but good things!
Up to now I haven't used a Mint KDE version.

Hai all, my name is "Bunstonious" and I have been using Linux Mint since version 7, and I must say that I have been impressed so far.
I am an intermediate / advanced linux user and have been using it on / off since Red Hat 8!
If anyone would like to chat, let me know.

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
Just out of curiosity (tell me to shut up if I am asking to much) but whats the usual timeframe between your submission for internal testing, until the RC comes out? Historically speaking.

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
All testing is internal to ensure the highest of quality. (also I do not think Mint team lacks enough devs to handle the immense amount of bug reports that would be generated by its massive fan base). I wasn't implying anything less. Was an offer for help, should it be needed, which in the Open Sou...

Re: Was 9 worth the trouble?
It's not about "ANY" bugs, please read: for example in Windows in any new version, I did not experience anything not-working, which worked in a previous version. If something worked on Win95 it worked on WinME. If something worked on WinME it worked on WinXP. If something worked on WinXP ...
