Re: Supported by CNR.com?

Hello You didn't seem to understand me quite right. An installation via CNR is not possible on most linux distributions. If you install the cnr client as shown in the link, you can use it to download and easily install the progs that the CNR warehouse provides, via the cnr client. In there are also ...

Re: Supported by CNR.com?

Hello

To take advantage of CNR com, do the following as described on the cnr com site itself:
http://www.cnr.com/supportPages/about.seam

As soon as you have done that, you can install things from the cnr repository

Re: Linux Mint Studio

ok guys.
I can't do it myself, but I would really love to have mint studio... would take the hassle away of testing and installing sound tools and of having to have still a win partition for sound.

Re: Elyssa KDE Beta update

Kubuntu screwed up with the inclusion of KDE4. I know it's just a "remix cd", but as a lot, particularly new ones, of users will only want the latest "bleeding edge", you can be sure they will go for this one and hate it. I also believe it "safer" to wait for 4.2 before including it in Mint. 4.2 sh...

Re: LM documentation

Well... It would be nice if you could just make suggestions, say what you've planned to work on first (if you have already), etc... I didn't get feedback from this. As i stated before, i won't have much time during the next weeks for writing material. I'm more focusing on connecting with clem about...

Re: LM documentation

Shouldn't that be: "mit I hre Ü bersetzung" ( :P ) Well, i went for the less polite form... Hope DracorX won't see any offense... Well first, it is "viel Grlück mit deiner / ihrer Übersetzung", the r is more important than any upper case lower case decision for the I ;-) Second, I feel that ...

Re: LM documentation

Here is my reasoning; I believe the number one issue that this documentation project will face is not that of quality, but of quantity. I think if we put barriers up for people to contribute to the documentation, then we might be dooming the project to failure before it even begins. I understand th...

Re: Software Portal - Elyssa

While i like .mint portal, we gotta take care that it stays fairly current. Look at the CNR warehouse (it works now for mint, great, really good place) but some packages are just out of date (it is last time I checked).

Re: LM documentation

Hello Guys. I have an idea how one could manage a good docu site with the possibility to have a guaranteed standard - so no false info is posted. and honestly, I think, Wiki is the wrong approach! What about joomla (which I could parametrise if necessery). Anyone wanting can apply for Author (which ...

Re: Need translators for the Elyssa user guide !

OK, I do the german one provided you send it to me by email. I can't do it online as I'm only online at my girls place or at work, but can do it offline. BUT, depending on the size, it might take a bit, I can only offer about 6 - 8 hours a week!

Re: New features for Elyssa KDE

Elyssa is using KDE4, correct? Is it possible to get rid of all the GTK apps so you can remove the GTK framework? Also, scrap the GIMP. People who need it can pick it up from the repos. Lets try and aim for 1 software for 1 task. We dont need more then 1 media player. :) Oh, Boo. Please Please Plea...

Re: kbfx problems

ok... seems you misinterpreted something.... KBFX - though a menu replacement - doesnt replace the kmenu (that is doesn't overwrite the binaries) but installs an additional kicker applet. To use kbfx, you have to add it to kicker first. Proceed as following: - Right-click on kicker - Add applet - Se...
