Is there any chance that this update of LMDE is compatible with Remastersys? Would like to be able to "customize" once and install on multiple machines.

Yes, Clonezilla will allow creating an image.....but not a redistributable livecd with the ability to simply install from there.

I do, however, stand corrected.....Skype (at least the current beta version) does not seem to work with Mint 7 either.

So, for the moment, WinXP will have to be used when Skype is called for.
