[SOLVED] email folder will not show contents

I use thunderbird 60.9 at the moment - my yahoo email folder shows 8 emails for me but I find that I cannot access them. I tried repairing the folder - no result. I sent an email to it as a test. the folder contents incremented by one but i still cannot access the contents I reset the yahoo password...

I was hoping after over 300 reads that someone might tell me something. I realise my request is trivial to some. Or Perhaps I have not made it clear... When I lock my screen or it times out, the logon box appears in the middle of the screen. I would like to change the co-ordinates that position this...

of course I had to find out how to stop/start compiz but found a solution here (for other readers)
