I just upgraded to 7.0.20
I only have 7 VM's but I have spent time configuring each and would hate to lose anything. Does having my designated VM directory on an external SSD drive save it from being deleted or damaged by a purge command?

Cannot get Xfce on 2014 ASUS prefab vista system
Hello everyone, I just dug my old 2014 ASUS prefab Desktop PC out of the garage where it has been sitting for 4 years ever since my GSD puppy got into the open case and chewed up cables and plastic male and female cable ends. I found the damage wasnt as bad as anticipated, I just had to move my HDD ...

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2024
I like this. It's nice. Thank you :) It's a close imitation of a GUI Wolvrik put together and he has a gift for assembling desktop elements together. It's his selected conky clock and wallpaper, and the Cairo-Dock in this example is based on the transparent white/grey gradient he used. The icon set...

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2024
I have set up several VM's of Cinn and Xfce and have been playing around with different docks etc. Here is Oracle VirtualBox running Mint 21.3 | Cinn, with Cairo-Dock using a tweaked MacOS-White theme. I paired it with the conky clock and wallpaper that Wolvrik featured in an Xfce desktop with a sem...

Re: Looking for better live wallpaper program
Still looks horribly slow. I'm intrigued. I will have a mess around with it sometime. Pixelated images might be to do with the source video - it its heavily compressed etc. I would appreciate if you would post any results you have if you find the time to experiment with this. The default video was ...

Re: Looking for better live wallpaper program
I do not have an alternative but the application is just a bash script so easily amended. I think the function that you want to look at is here. So it looks like it extracts all the frames from the first 10 seconds of a video. Depending on the video framerate this could be anything from 250 to 300 ...

Looking for better live wallpaper program
Hello everyone, I am playing with live wallpapers, and I found several sites that listed "wallset" as the program to install and use for linux. I did so, and found some great live wallpapers, but wallset is running their animations at 1/2 to 1/4 speed. I have gone to wallset's install/guid...

Re: working with extensive conky mod I found - need help :) [SOLVED]
I see. OK. AppCentre is not a best idea and it is sorta limited. I always use CLI and our users mostly Synaptic. Anyway I am not sure this is the right place for Bodhi stuff and Bodhi problems. I will be happy if you join us on our forums or discord. Our community is friendly and willing to help :)...

Re: working with extensive conky mod I found - need help :) [SOLVED]
LOL, search tool IS within main menu and it is called Quick launcher. I use to activate it with WIN key or ALT + ESC. Yes, it is not embeded but it is very powerful. It is capable of using plugins. Press = as trigger to invoke a calculator. I also coded the plugin with translator. Anyway as far as ...

Re: working with extensive conky mod I found - need help :) [SOLVED]
I just googled "enlightenment module linux" and found their DE page. Their icon set is beautiful! Do you know of any way to get that in Mint? Did you ever get Enlightenment working on Bodhi? I used Bodhi for ten years and a while ago the founder Jeff Hoogland left...since then it has beco...

I got a working script to change desklet font and reload :)
Hey everyone, I was on my Tolkien theme workspace and bothered by the font of my gcalendar events desklet not matching my set font for other GUI items. I went back to ChatGPT and in less than 30mns it had given me a working script to set my gcalendar desklet to any font I wish, and then reloads cinn...

Going thru the cinnamon.css I am finding the individual panel settings. Here are different lengths of top and bottom panels.
