Re: Cannot change default PDF Application to Qoppa PDF Studio Viewe

it required typing nano ./.config/mimeapps.list in the terminal and looking for image/pdf, manually changing it. If you still want to follow that online guide type this: nano /home/hygie/.config/mimeapps.list instead of this: nano ./.config/mimeapps.list I tried the command but couldn't find it! Tr...

Re: Music Pause/Play button not working in Spotify/Music Players except Chrome

Good evening, I tried the multimedia buttons (play and pause buttons) with Firefox and with Spotify they work correctly, same with Soundcloud (in my opinion there must be some internal problem with your computer); try doing all the updates and updating all the drivers from Linux Mint Update and Dri...

Did not try it on Mint Cinnamon though, but should work. On Mint XFCE it gives good results.
Maybe try it on a virtual machine first.
Ok will look into it thanks. Sorry for the late reply though!

Re: Cannot change default PDF Application to Qoppa PDF Studio Viewe

Considering how the the default application keeps getting changed for you, this may not work but, when I had the problem, I had to delete Image viewer to get the default to "stick" when I changed it. The default application doesn't keep changing, just that it doesn't stick to Qoppa PDF So...

Has this been removed or something
I can't answer directly since I use LM 20.3, but in the meantime run this command in a terminal:
find ~ -type f -iname 'mimeapps.list'
I ran and this is my o/p:
[/home/hygie/.config/mimeapps.list
/home/hygie/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list

Cannot change default PDF Application to Qoppa PDF Studio Viewe

I have the latest Mint version. I tried changing the default PDF version to Qoppa PDF Studio Viewer from Document Viewer but for some reason it never changes. It changes to other applications like GIMP but not to Qoppa's PDF Studio Viewer. I looked at similar issues where others weren't able to chan...

Re: Integrating Hard Disk

Never heard of LDM. I wonder whether Hiren's Boot CD can access the partition. Not heard of it. Could you explain what is and why it's used(only incase you find it relevant for my task here) It's a Windows recovery tool. Read the website. Read a few articles on the internet. Speaking of the interne...

Re: Integrating Hard Disk

I just wanted to "integrate" it in the first place, seeing the "unmount" button near my HDD stresses me out. That's relatively easy to do. Mount the partition some place other than /media. Many folks use /mnt, but I prefer to reserve that for temporary mounts, which is its inten...

Music Pause/Play button not working in Spotify/Music Players except Chrome

Hey All This seemed to me an easy issue, one that i have ignored from the first day but one that is now irritating me.. My media keys for pausing and playing music is not working for Spotify/RHYTHMBOX etc except WHEN I play something in Chrome when it works fine! I tried scourging around but couldn'...

Re: Integrating Hard Disk

As already said above LDM is the Windows equivalent of Linux's LVM and is only ever created when formating disks using Windows so if you do decide to reformat that disk do it this time with gparted from a live Ubuntu system. I have no idea about Hirens Boot CD's ability to deal with LDM, and I don'...

Re: Integrating Hard Disk

That LDM NTFS partition puts a wrench in the works. If you're not going to have Windows at all, I'd backup any files you want from sda3, delete all partitions, and format one partition as EXT4 only if you're not using Windows to access the HDD. so basically format the entire disk, remove all partit...

Re: mint 21.2 - custom colors?

I'm not sure you could do that, but try searching for Themes that could atleast come closer to the Orange hue you are looking for. Should be fairly simple to get too.

Customization Themes akin to MacOS

So been using Mint just about a month now. I like the GUI and just about everything. Maybe not every Linux user is like me, but i'm sure i'll stop liking this and would want something better in aesthetics and feel. I was wondering if there are customization options that are safe and ones that are tr...

Re: wifi & bluetooth missing

Is there a crash? Is it defaulting to running in a fallback mode? You could get Crash Reports, go check it out in System Reports within the Menu. As per the given instructions, if you face a crash share the necessary for people here to help you out. It could be a myriad of things, driver compatibili...

Re: Integrating Hard Disk

Thanks for your reply linux-rox! Yeah, i know the part of Timeshift needing a linux file system, but was wondering if there is any way to change it from a Windows one without losing all data. Figured out formatting is the only way as you mentioned, but even that would'nt be a problem i have an exter...
