Yep, then rebooted and the same thing happens. Then when i reboot with a livecd and go to /etc there is no file called lightdm.conf anymore.

Only difference is, my / partition is 25gb with over 80% free as is my /home partition.

If you run the backup tool from the menu that has an option to backup your software selection. The list is stored as a text document. Is this what you are after?

I have an Acer Aspire 5349 which i have used LM on with no problems since LM13. Now running LM19.3 xfce.

Concur with hapgood. I use vivaldi on my laptop, tablet and phone. Based on chrome so can use same extensions such as the one I use which is Bitwarden.

As it says, you need a longer password. Cant recall the minimum that Mint will accept but obviously the longer the better. Plus have a mix of lowercase, uppercase, numeric and special characters if possible.
