i'm trying to add OSMO to my startup. I want it to start with LXDE launch. i'm lost. i checked so earlier posts but stating you just add a .desktop file to ~/.config/autostart is too complex for a newbee like me. can you walk me thru step by step. thanks

I don't know how to add for example Osmo to the startup menu. I don't see that option. thanks for the help.

i set the magnifier to work and it works fine with shortcut keys (super +m) , I Reboot and again use super key +m and it opens the sound properties box at the speaker icon. Is there a setting too keep it working? thanks Tom

Still my favorite and i use it on one of my laptops. What are the consequenses of not upgrading? I'm i dealing with security risks by not upgrading? Everything works and i'm satisfied with Helena and really don't see the point of changing. If it's a security issue i will. thanks

I downloaded the deb pg and got minitube but it didn't work. When i opened Minitube and do a search it finds the item and keeps listing but doesn't stop so i can view a video. Above the search it states, error finding source. I think the deb pg is not for Mint 8.

i still can't get it. terminal comes back with "cant find package minitube"

I entered this into the terminal but i can't get minitube.
* sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
* sudo apt-get update
* sudo apt-get install minitube

when i right click it only has an option to open in a new window, not open with.

I now see the problem. When i try to download in Mint 10 it trys to open with the Archive Mgr as opposed to the Gdebi installer in Mint 8. How can i change this to Gdebi installer in Mint 10 ?

I would like to use my netbook for skype but i have a problem. The internal mic doesn't work with Skype. It works with Audacity, but i have to use an external mic with skype. I'm running Mint 8 on an Acer Aspire one.
