Is Linux Mint really no. 1?

I saw a comment in the blog about http://www.linuxtracker.org , its a torrent tracker that hosts linux distro's.

If you look at the number of seeders you will see that:

Ubuntu i386 has 5586 seeders
mint 9 i386 has 231 seeders

Good site though.

Re: 0 of 0 connected peers

Your welcome. I see that it's using the open bittorrent tracker. It is possible that the tracker is down. See this article: http://torrentfreak.com/hollywood-lands-triple-strike-on-pirate-bay-openbittorrent-100522/ Note: Apparently the open bit-torrent tracker is considered illegal, the downside of ...

Re: Isadora No 1 on Distrowatch ;}

Just changed to the last 7 days view. Probably should have said I interpreted the data. (It's been 15 years since my graduate statistics classes) In that case, maybe Clem and the developers should start thinking about changing the text you see during the install process to Linux Mint being the 3rd ...

Re: Isadora No 1 on Distrowatch ;}

Are you saying you did something to change the factual numbers?

Or did you mean by switching to the last 7 days?

I don't mean to accuse you of anything, but you did state that you manipulated the data.

Re: David Icke interview....

I can certainly understand your viewpoint. If your not interested in this subject, it can be regarded as "far-out" :shock:
But even if you are into this kind of thing it can be, just wait until you see the whole thing. :D (If you even would that is).

David Icke interview....

Human Race get off your Knees! - The Lion Sleeps No More!

Found a rather interesting (for me at least) interview with David Icke on youtube.

Re: How to create a wallpaper slideshow (solved)

Found a program called "Wallpaper stacks", it can be found in the package manager.
There is a ppa at launchpad, if you want to keep it updated.

https://launchpad.net/wallpaper-stacks

I've used it in mint 9 to create a wallpaper stack.
Works very nice.
A very big thank you to the developer :D

Re: Internet and privacy

Google tracking is rather common knowledge. I use Scroogle a lot more now. I also have FF configured to delete ALL info every time I close the browser and I close the browser a dozen times a day. I clear Macromedia cookies regularly also. I never allow Third Party Cookies. I view forums not logged ...

Internet and privacy

I'm someone who is aware of the issue of privacy while surfing the Internet. A term often used by people on forums is, "google is your friend". But did you know that google collects all your search quires?, and did you notice the "http", which is not a secure connection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
