Re: No "Configure Wine" entry in the menu
From the topic mentioned, they said you should not have any wine installation before installing it. Also, they said the wine-installer'd install wine 6.x version (idk if they're updates). You showed that you have wine 9.0. Did you have any wine installed before installing the wine-installer ?. Anywa...

Re: How transfer a Linux Mint installation from a dual boot disk to a new single os disk
Hello, I don't understand what do you mean by "extract from Grub". Grub is a bootloader. It doesn't contain your entire system. If you going to duplicate your system to another storage device, there are multiple ways to achieve that. If your target device has same or more size than the ori...

Re: Touchpad gestures - How to swipe 'back' and 'forward'?
Hi,
Unfortunately the gesture app cannot handle in-app navigation. You have to use the built-in gesture from the app. For example, you can follow this guide for Firefox.

Re: Playing Windows Steam Games and Saved Files
Hi, If you mean your games installation, they can be found in you home directory. it depends on which steam you're using. If you installed .deb (native) package, they should be in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common If it's flatpak, they should be in ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/steam/steamapps/co...

Re: [Solved]Problem closing applications
I am not understand what you meant 'inclined'. After all, LMDE is only officially released in Cinnamon DE. I had tried to install another DE, but there's always something that doesn't right. When I want to clean up everything, it only ends to doing a fresh install. Someone told me that installing an...

They are directories. When they're not empty, you need to use rm -r to recursive remove.
Code: Select all
rm -r Itsthomas

Re: Before Linux Mint , what did you use?
Windows 8.
I knew nothing about computer back then, I didn't even understand what OS is. I thought Windows is a computer brand.
I wiped it and messed up with Ubuntu 18. There was when I hate linux.
Then I've been using LM and slowly learnt about system from it.

Re: Wine and "Passage 3" game
Hi, Since it's an old game, I think you should try to use older version of dxvk, although I'm not sure if it does use dxvk. The only way to get the game installed is using bottles (runner: soda-9.0-1; DXVK: dxvk2.4; VKD3D: vkd3d-proton-2.13) VKD3D works only for games that using DirectX12 . Even now...

Re: LMDE6 fails to boot beyond display manager
Hi, This happened to me not long ago, in my hard system. I think it was problem with the display manager. My problem was I ran out of storage. Try hit ctrl + alt + F1 + fn (if necessary) to enter tty1. Then you can login and troubleshot the issue. You can start by doing what I did, perhaps. lsblk -f...

Re: DragonRise USB Gamepad is (still) messing its axes
Thanks for the reply. That's actually what I did. Its ID is 0079:0006. Yes, it has no problem about detection issue. It actually works without installing any driver. The problem is when I debug it, it has 6 axes. The culprit is axis 2, while its value is shared between left and right controller. And...

DragonRise USB Gamepad is (still) messing its axes
Hi folks, I need help. I have a device shown as DragonRise Inc. PC TWIN SHOCK Gamepad . I think the problem itself was old and common that I'm sure that there are some people got it too. To short this post, I'll just bring up this since the problem was actually same. I've been googled about it but s...

Re: dxvk/vulkan doesn't use integrated GPU [solved]
I managed to use each DXVK 1.10.3 and 1.0. mangohud recognize it, but still the GPU load is 0. I think it's mangohud related issue with dxvk/vulkan as we said. I wonder it has something to do with these messages: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/local/$LIB/mangohud/libMangoHud_dlsym.so' from LD_PRELOAD ca...

Re: dxvk/vulkan doesn't use integrated GPU
The snapsot I took when in welcome screen, so it got high FPS (It even can reach 150+ FPS). The FPS drops along the increasing of game influences. Interesting. This is saying your iGPU actually supports Vulkan 1.3.230. So TechPowerUp is wrong claiming only vulkan 1.0 support. (unless that is reporti...

Re: dxvk/vulkan doesn't use integrated GPU
Here's something I figured out. No matter which version of DXVK I set, the version is still same 2.4.0/1.3.230. So I actually haven't tried another version you suggested.

Re: dxvk/vulkan doesn't use integrated GPU
I don't know, I've tried with mangohud only and then DXVK_HUD, but the HUD never appears. For more info, I ran the game before using this launcher with --options "gamemoderun mangohud %command%" to get the mangohud works. The launcher has its own wine binary (proton) and wineprefix, althou...

Re: dxvk/vulkan doesn't use integrated GPU
Thanks for reply. You can get the bottom of it by making either mangohud or DXVK show you exactly what device is doing the rendering (whether it is iGPU or llvmpipe software rendering): DXVK_HUD=1 %command% or MANGOHUD_CONFIG=gpu_name mangohud %command% (remove %command% if not using steam) BTW sinc...
