Re: [SOLVED] FreeRDP session looses mouse

Don't worry, we all do dumb things... upside is that you worked out what the problem was and you fixed it !
Thanks for letting us know what happened.

Re: I did something

Your TV has a VGA input. Select this input on your TV, then connect a VGA cable to the VGA socket on the NVIDIA Card. If you don't see an image or if the TV says it can't connect, then try connecting the VGA cable to the other VGA socket for the embedded graphics. If this doesn't work then borrow a ...

Re: falling back to half of memory

You haven't provided any info on the motherboard, so it makes it hard to offer suggestions. But have you checked the Man for the Mem Config Options? Most MBs have a number of options for the mem slot usage. Also wondering if you have an Auto-Overcock / Tuning option running in the BIOS. Something th...

Re: Sharing a Windows-shared folder in Mint as well.

There are a number of options to set up shared folders, but its a good idea to read the Forum Rules in the header before posting a question.
The community can't help you if you don't provide enough information.

Check the settings on your player. USB connections usually need to be tagged as charging or file transfer.
It may have reset itself to charging only.

Re: Grsync-related

Hello Peter. Since you enjoy pushing boundaries, can I suggest the following strategy. Use a separate partition for all data. This includes your mail files, app databases, docs, music, videos etc. Change the paths in your apps to point at the new locations and replace the original docs, music, video...

Re: grub bootloader was not configured properly

Given the error message, think I would try putting grub on sda....but you haven't given enough info to be sure.
What is the machine and what OS was it running before?

Welche Version von "Mint" verwenden Sie?
Welche Sprachen haben Sie installiert?
Auf welche Sprache ist Ihre lokale Einstellung eingestellt?

Probably also better to post in the DE forum

Hi Mark. Do you have the same issue booting from a "live" lmde4 usb key?
A T480 shouldn't be giving you any problems.

[solved] mintupdate - kernels.ui

Hi All.
The kernels.ui is not active in mintupdate on LMDE4.

Re: Lenovo will ship Thinkpads with Fedora

IBM > Thinkpads > Lenovo // IBM + Redhat (Fedora) => Marketing Synergy : Lenovo/Thinkpad + IBM / Redhat/ Cloud Vision / End User Vision
The Marketing folk will have KPIs to drive any linkage back to IBM/Redhat . Fedora is a logical low cost, low risk option.
