I am trying to install [Spark IM](http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/index.jsp) however I am running into all kinds of problems. The steps I have taken so far were: 1. Download the tar.gz file from the website 2. Unpack it 3. `cd /home/user/Downloads/Spark` 4. `sudo chmod +x Spark` 5. `sudo chm...

I already knew about CTRL+ALT+UP / DOWN. Suffice to say it's simply not the same thing - it's worst. xD
Guess I'll have to wait.

Re: How to cycle through workspaces in Cinamon?
So, that means that for now I can't cycle from 3 to 1? Well that sucks big time -.- Other window managers (like KDE) support it.

Re: How to cycle through workspaces in Cinamon?
Are you saying you want to be able to do crtl alt right to move from 3 to 1 yes exactly! How do I do it? or do you just desire some way to jump from one to the other directly? Certainly would not mind that at all as well :D Thanks for the applet suggestion, but I really feel the need for the first ...

Re: Which Mint and why ?
I agree with user MintKDE416. There are also other choices such as the LXDE and XFCE environments that are lighter. However they are lighter because they lack some feautures present i cinamon and are recomemded for older computers.

How to cycle through workspaces in Cinamon?
Hello gentleman, I am using Linux Mint 64v with Cinamon. I know how to add virtual desktops (workspaces) one by one, but I can't go from my workspace 3 back to 1 again (per example, assuming I have 3 workspaces), I am always forced to go all the way back, which is really annoying to say the least. I...

Hello fellas, I am trying to install Bouncy Castle (cryptographic provider) for java in Mint but I just don't know where $JAVA_HOME is, I can't find the damn folder and every google website I found so far either points me to folders or files that don't exist or points me to folders and files that ma...

Bug unninstalling programs

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
I have several PCs with Intel I845 Graphics and Problems with Kubuntu 10.04. Can we use Isadora KDE für this PCs? If your problem is with the KDE graphic system using Linux Mint KDE version will NOT fix your problems. Instead you will have the same problems and probably more. I advise you to change...

Re: Isadora KDE Development Progress Report
I read the first page looking for "what's new in KDE version for LM9" and I only saw ports and fixes. Will the KDE version have something new compared to older versions? What will be the main difference between then KDE and GNOME versions ? (Except for the graphic environment ofc). Do you guys have ...

Anyway, Thanks for the link. Looks like I searched in the wrong places, I will try remembering myself to use the forum search engine next time.

When will LM9 KDE version be out?
Hey guys, I am a fan of LM over Ubuntu (always have been) and I am addicted to it's KDE version. However when I tried to download the Isadora KDE version from this link: http://www.linuxmint.com/release.php?id=13 I noticed that there is NO KDE version available yet. Technically KDE is now official a...

Re: Was 9 worth the trouble?
Guys, if you are saying that LM9 is way slower and has slower menus than it's previous version, than blame Ubuntu. Recent tests show that if you have the 3D effects option enabled for menus, you will run the system with less FPS (minus 30 FPS is the average number). So if you want to have the speed ...
