Well im going to chalk this up to finicky Linux syndrome.

I ditched LM 12 and went back to LM10. the gecko streamer is working.

Now i can listen to tunes.

Sometimes newer isnt always better.

richyrich left click gives you the option to disconnect from a wireless connection, or to connect to one etc. right click gives you a couple options, but the most per tenant is enable/disable "Wireless" hence the problem. What i want to do is "disable" NIC #1 while leaving NIC #2...

I checked out the web pages but no help. right clicking on the network connections deal gives you the option to disable/enable wireless connections. HOWEVER if you had 2 wireless connections you would be disabling both. Now maybe its just my version of Mint that it does this, who knows. But back to ...

Hi Whats the deal with the ifconfig command. As in does it work. Example: sudo ifconfig wlan0 down then ifconfig says wlan0 is down, but in reality it is not. Scratch my last post.

Sloppy typing on my part was the culprit, modprobe.d instead of modprobe.b seem to do the trick

Thanks for the reply Aging Technogeek I typed the command sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.b/blacklist.conf I get a window that says blacklist.conf, however nothing is in the file, i typed blacklist rt2800usb and tried to save, it then says it cannot find the file. Is this not the correct file path to acces...
