Re: Security? Repo/update messages Hash mismatch!

Hash sum mismatch is temporary. Sever has been actualized and you need to give him some time. Wait one or 2 hours before being worried. Many thanks. Since using LM8 onwards I'd never seen this message so thought better to query it etc, in light of recent times and all that. Thanks for settin...

Re: How to make Network areas visible in Nemo window

Thanks. Yes I think I put the correct values in, says "location already mounted" and still blank. Thanks for trying though, I'll have a longer look at it and maybe try another fm as a test etc. It shouldbe seamless like yours I know, maybe a 17.3 will help.

Thanks again!

Re: How to make Network areas visible in Nemo window

The NAS has two access options, SMB and FTP, I've logged into it using both methods. In "/run/user/0/gvfs" I get "permission denied" In "/run/user/1000/gvfs" it's blank. On here, if I go to attach a file it doesn't see the mounted folders (same view as meld). Should I ditch Nemo? I'm still 17.2 ther...

Re: How to make Network areas visible in Nemo window

Many thanks for answering but it's not solved it. Screenshot shows Nemo Vs Meld. 1. In nemo, my "Network" folder at the bottom. I login to the NAS and mount "home on n..." as shown. Duly bookmarked (can't change bookmark name from / 2. In meld, folder tree as shown, no network no bookmark.. Thanks a...

Re: Meld, Unison sync etc

Update, kind of, just wait a long while and meld came good in the end, patience it seems. Limiting the number of directories to compare in one go will always help (split collection into sub folders, compare in turn, then re-assemble).

[SOLVED] How to make Network areas visible in Nemo window

Hi all, when I sign in to my QNAP NAS nemo displays the folder structure there-on fine. But in all subsequent instances of Nemo (say, when uploading an attachment, or browsing which folders to compare in Meld etc) when the Nemo window pops up, the network drive/path isn't there, it's like it was nev...

Re: Meld, Unison sync etc

In Meld preferences I put:

Tick - compare files based only on size and timestamp

File filter - media only ticked

Encoding, deleted text in box

much faster etc

":" is a problem too, as soon as i delete these from the filename it works, a pain doing it all manually though but hey ho

Meld, Unison sync etc [SOLVED]

Hiya, I'm comparing two music libraries maybe 500Gb each. I know there were some problems during transfer. Meld crashes it seems, Unison is scanning each file and taking far far too long, I just want to do a "filename" comparison rather than "exact data" comparison. Should I be using the diff comman...
