I've unplugged, then plugged back in, the hdd, reformatted the usb stick in fat32, then remounted, installed onto via unetbootin, the gparted program, when I try to boot into it on my laptop, I get this: "no boot sector on usb device". What more can I do...I don't want to trash this hdd.. Unetbooti...

Is the drive visible in BIOS? If not, look no further. IF it is visible then you may find a utility in BIOS to prepare the drive (of course this will destroy all data on said drive). I might suggest you boot your computer with the LiveUSB. The live session has gparted installed and it's available through the menu. Use that instance of gparted. When I try to boot up with Gparted, cmos says "No Boot Sector Found on usb device", I thought you boot up with this thing....thing is gparted is already in the iso for linux mint, but it won't recognize the hdd in the laptop...

Unfortunately, I've tried the Gparted thingy and have tried to reformat the hdd, but it's not even recognized by anything at this point, not even BIOS....I'll try Gparted to see if it makes any difference....thank you and I'll be in touch

Can you run Gparted from the Live disk/usb before you start the installation ? Hadn't thought on that one...I've downloaded and installed on usb stick, Parted Magic Live CD iso....I'll give gparted a trty before I use this other....I'll let you know one way or the other....thank you for the reminde...

With this new update from 11.202.644....nothing on facebook (as far as games goes) works.....video's that employ Adobe flash player don't work....but especially games on Facebook no longer work with this new update....anyone else having issues like this? I got the update and running facebook games ...

It all worked, no more nagging grey bar across the top of the page.....following the ppa instructions helped and yours as well richy.....hope this helps with other with this issue....suggestion, save all the pages with the instructions for future refference...just in case...
