Re: Can't Copy Files from Network to Home Folder
Two things you may want to check. Permissions on your home folder and how Samba is set up on the shared folder, does it require a password or something.

Re: Dropbox, is it worth installing
I've been using it for a while and it is great. I download manuals for equipment I'm working on. I put them in a folder on dropbox and I can access it from the office computer, the laptop in the shop or my tablet. Even if the file is open on one of the computers and I go to another I can open it aga...

Re: New Version type for Linux Mint 14 (browsers)
The choice of browsers is not a bad idea in that a user coming from the windows side can install the browser they are use to easing the learning curve to some degree. Either using the installer or a browser manager would be the way to go I would think, because if you just install them all then you h...

Re: Funny & sad phone call
I wonder if they have anything like that here in the states. I've always wondered why there wasn't something that you could filter your phone calls with.

Re: Funny & sad phone call
Sorry to hear about your picture window. That is expensive to fix. We've been lucky so far with just a dusting last week. I'm in Ga. It amazes me how many people fall for all these scams. I don't know how many machines I have had to fix because of the fake anti-virus one. But 5 of those machines are...

Funny & sad phone call
Last night the phone rang, the wife answered it. The guy on the other end starts talking about how he can help her with her windows problems. She say's I can see out to them just fine, he says no windows on the computer. So the wife say oh we don't use windows and the guy is stopped dead in his trac...

Libreoffice goes blank on a PDF
Hi I'm trying to open a PDF file in Libreoffice to make a modification. It imports the file but all I get is blank pages. It has been a while since I've had to do this, but I used to open them in OpenOffice and from what I understand Libreoffice is a fork off Openoffice. Thanks.

Re: Browsers Roll up when using Mouse wheel
Not sure if whats happening the same thing? On mine (I use a trackball) the scroll wheel is also a pushable (3rd) button (I believe most mice are that way also). When I scroll fast with the scroller I tend to press down (inadvertently  ) that activates the 3rd button function. A 3rd button by...

Browsers Roll up when using Mouse wheel
Hi, I recently installed LinuxMint 13 XFCE. Everything has gone well except for this one quirk. When I have a browser open and if I spin the mouse wheel fast or move the mouse up real quick the window rolls up into the header and I can not get to come back down other then close it and reopening it. ...
