Hi, I got a problem with my printer in lmde 5. Printing starts with a long delay of a couple of minutes. Printer is a Brothers mfc-215c, the driver install tool was downloaded from the brother homepage, printer worked so far in older linux distributions without delay. Lsusb shows: Bus 002 Device 003...

Host: ubuntu-desktop Kernel: 4.4.0-38-generic x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: Xfce 4.12.3 Distro: Linux Mint 18 Sarah Das gleiche Problem tritt leider auch mit dem Kernel 3.19 auf, mit Windows macht die Festplatte keine Probleme, ist eine 3.5 Zoll USB 3.0, die ich mit Y-Kabel verbinde, ADATA CH11.

Es gibt leider keinen Unterschied mit einem neuen Konto,
der aktuelle Kernel ist 4.4.0-38-generic, mit dem vorherigen 4.4.0-21 trat das Problem auch auf,
welchen Kernel soll ich denn installieren?

Es tritt doch wieder auf, muss an der USB 3.0 PCI-Expresskarte liegen, am USB 2.0 Anschluss tritt das sofortige Einhängen nach Auswerfen nicht auf.
Gibt es da vielleicht eine Lösung?

ich habe die Linux Mint 18 XFCE Edition frisch installiert und leider hängt sich eine von mir ausgeworfene USB-Festplatte sofort wieder ein, auch wenn ich erst auf aushängen und dann auf auswerfen klicke.
Wie kann man dieses sofortige remounten abstellen?

I remember having this problem before in xfce and after removing xfce4-mixer all was ok and pulseaudio didn't make problems with this annoying maximized volume on startup,
but I see that Mint xfce doesn't use xfce4-mixer, can somebody help until my ears are totally damaged

my card reader doesn't work with Mint, I know it worked with Ubuntu 9.04, but now there are some problems.
The reader is: The reader also has an usb plug, which doesn't work either, so what should I do?
