to use it as favorite in the mintmenu, open the mintmenu, rightclick on the program and select "add to favorites" (or something similar, i'm not using the english version). to make it the default browser.... mhm i haven't used gnome since a while but it should be in the system-configuratio...

die tty's haben im normalfall keine Grafiktreiberunterstützung, daher ballert er das signal in dem maximum raus das mit standarttreibern möglich ist:
1280x1024 und 60hz.
Da du 2 Bildschirme verwendest steuert er jeden mit 30hz an, daher fehlt immer ein bildsegment -> es flackert.
