Re: failed to excecute child process.

That wasn't it.
Seems now I have to do a fsck everytime the thing freezes. (Bad blocks)
I have never had any problems like this in Karmic.
As much as I like Mint aside from this problem, I think I'm going to have to delete it.

By Mint.

Re: xsane problem in Helena

Looks like this bug has not been fixed yet, since my 32bit Karmic installation has no problems with selecting scan area. Mint 8 is a different story.

Re: Dual boot replacing one saving the other

What kind of problems are you still having though? Personally none with dual booting Windows ,since I got rid of it a while ago. However as best as I can tell, (I'm a noob) when some people installed Lucid to boot with Win 7, somehow it got rid of the Win bootloader, so you couldn't boot into Win. ...

Re: Dual boot replacing one saving the other

Before you think about upgrading Helena to Mint 9 to dual boot with Win 7, do a little googling about it.
Better yet ,go to the Ubuntu forums, and do a search on dual booting Windows with Lucid Lynx (which Isadora is based on)

You will find a lot of problems about this.

Re: failed to excecute child process.

Come to think of it, it started doing it after a Firefox, and Chromium update, a few days ago
It updated again just about an hour ago.

Maybe that fixed it..I sure hope so.

Re: failed to excecute child process.

I forgot to mention, that if I reboot, everything works fine, untill it goes to the screen saver again.

failed to excecute child process.

Hello! I've been running Ubuntu 9.10 for the last 3 months, and decided to install Mint 8 for my wife on a seperate partition. I had no problems until my last update a few days ago. Every time I leave the computer to go to screen saver, then I come back to it, nothing I click on works. Everything I ...
