Re: HOW TO: Brother 32/64-bit Printer Drivers (and AirPrint!
@axe.gs1: Good to see that the guide helped you and that your son can finally print wirelessly, that's awesome! However, I gotta warn you about those instructions at the link you posted. (To anyone reading this: Do not follow the bad instructions at his link). The "airprint-generate.py" (AirPrint .s...

Re: Linux Mint 13 "Maya" released!
Tried using ppa-purge to downgrade some packages, but the system looked for replacements in the "oneiric" repos rather than the "precise" ones.

FWIW, Mint-X-Metal-Xfce has the same problem, but the same fix works too.

Re: Whats exacly the diffrence between Mint KDE and Kubuntu.
Well it looks like mint KDE makes no sense at all. Looks liek almost no customization is done and if you want to have latest 12.04 software in it that you have to go with testing. Nobody can tell me what the exact differences are, a moderator how has almost 6000 posts argues he is not a programmer, ...

Re: Whats exacly the diffrence between Mint KDE and Kubuntu.
Moved here by moderator Linux Mint KDE is not based on Kubuntu, but on Ubuntu, AFAIK. As Linux Mint 13 KDE is still in development, looking at Linux Mint 12. Linux Mint adds its own repositories to the ones available on Ubuntu, with as you noted some additional programs already installed. I've not ...

Whats exacly the diffrence between Mint KDE and Kubuntu.
This is NOT about Mint in general! What i already know: MInt KDE is always one release or so "behind" kubuntu and based upon it. It comes with DVD and more software out of the box The topic name is my question. A google search give me a hell of a lot useless crap but no real andswer to this What is ...

Re: Mint 13 installation failure [SOLVED]
Wound up booting from USB drive and I was able to successfully complete the install. Just wanted to offer this solution for those who encountered the same issue as the OP and removing the slideshow did not work.

Re: Mint 13 installation failure [SOLVED]
I guess I"m one of the unlucky ones, in that I have the exact same symptoms during the installation process, but the recommended fix didn't work for me. It still froze during the install (installing on a IBM T43). I wish LM had an alternate installer like how Ubuntu has - I suspect I might have more...

Re: Linux Mint 13 "Maya" released!
GeForce 6150SE I have the same card and the same issue. Upgrading to the latest NVIDIA drivers in the X-Swat PPA resolves this issue for me (hit CTRL+ALT+Backspace to log out, use Gnome Classic to add the repository and upgrade your drivers, then log back into Cinnamon), but I've since switched to ...

Re: How to customize input from USB Foot Switch?
Hehe ok, I had the same. I was disappointed not being able to configure it with linux, I felt ready for adventure, read tutorials how to sniff usb and write to usb. I got some nice data patterns after sniffing their configurator (it was fun to try to configure it in many ways and look what changed),...

I've setup in Phonon to transit sound to the headset but it doesn't work, just one beep and that's all. What am I doi...

Re: [Solved] Asus 1215B
Hi friend.
I have the same laptop and same problems... But I can't solve it. Do you had problems with 1080p (HD) videos? Because I installed fglrx driver but it doesn't work with HD video.s
On other hand, how I can compile my custom kernel?
Thanks in advance.
