I also have a laptop running Mint 15, 32-bit Cinnamon.
Mintinstall works fine on this laptop.
Is it something wrong with the 64-bit version?

How to rename lots of files?
Hi
I have always used KRename to rename many files (batch renaming).
Now after Mint 15, I can't find KRename when searching with synaptic package manager.
How do I get KRename?

Re: Spotify on Mint 15
As a fact I installed spotify on Ubuntu 13.04 today, it worked just fine. It's the same whether you add the repository in yor sources.list file or downloads the .deb file and installs it with GDebi. It just won't work on my Linux Mint 15 install, as it depends on libssl0.9.8, and on my Mint15 I have...

Spotify on Mint 15
Hi I've just done a fresh Mint 15 install, looks nice. In Mint 14 I had installed spotify from their on linux package, but it seems impossible to install it on Mint 15. I do it this way: 1. Editing /etc/apt/sources.list by adding the following line: deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free ...

Re: failed to start x server
I don't know what causes this problem either.
Is it a missing kernel module or something else?
The machine has Intel GMA3150, while kernel module used is gma500_gfx (DRM driver for Intel GMA500).
Seems like I have to try another distro for this machine, I know Fuduntu works fine.

Re: failed to start x server
Strange thing: If I choose recovery mode in the boot menu, I get to a menu with some choices. Choosing "resume", the machine continues a normal boot sequence - finally presents a login screen to log in to the desktop. Kind of annoying that I need to boot up via the recovery mode. regards R...

Doing a fresh install to hard drive seems ok, but when booting the NB520 from the hard drive the x server does not start. Why is it different to boot from usb pen drive and the laptop har...

Mint 11 and wireless - one step back from Mint 10?
I have an old laptop FS Amilo 1650G with Broadcom 4318 wireless interface.
This wireless interface was working out of the box with Mint 10.
But now with Mint 11, this is not the case anymore.
Why is the support for this interface taken away, and can I get it back?
regards

I think you should try to describe your hardware. Is it a laptop, what kind of laptop and so on, what kind of camera... And how did you install Skype?
