cheers for the info, were do i get the vgaswitcheroo and is it a normal easy install (deb file) or do i have to compile it and run make and run config and and and and ..... It's not that easy unfortunately, it took me about 2 days to figure it out, but that was because I was unable to find complete...

Hi there!
I've made and update today around 2PM GMT using apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist-upgrade and it did not ask me to install kexec-tool. After reading this post I did another update just few minutes ago and everything works fine on my laptop, so from my point od view problem seems to be solved.

i can get close onto 10 hrs on my Asus UL50VT running w7 on powersave mode while watching movies, working on spread sheets / word (ms office) and gimp without any issues. i can only manage a lousy 2.5 - 3 hrs max either on lm10 gnome / kde. :cry: I can see that you've got switchable graphics in you...

I have Acer with Intel Core i3 330M, Ati HD5470, 3GB DDR3, LMDE 64Bit. I should have 2hours and 15minutes but nothing...finish fast.... Which drivers you're using for ATI card? I've got Acer Timeline with Intel/Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics and before I figured out how to configure VGA Switchero...

Hi! How about option in installer that will allow users to choose different DE than Gnome? For example XFCE whith some basic Gnome stuff?

Hi!
Have somebody managed to install ATI Catalyst driver on this kernel, or older one? When I'm trying to install it gives me "DKMS PART OF INSTALLATION FAILED". Can anyone help, couse I've already spent about a week on searching and trying different sollutions!
