Does anyone know where to find the gnome spherecrystal theme? I want to use it in my Maya install.
EDIT: I thing it was on the gnome-themes-more file distribution which doesn't appear to be on the repositories any longer.
Thanks

Re: LM "Maya" KDE blue background?
Thanks zero! It appeared to install OK, but does not appear in the DM utility under Appearance > Background. It must be stored by default in a different directory. I'll look for it.

LM "Maya" KDE blue background?
I'm using LM13 "Maya" Mate edition, but I would prefer the blue highlighted background used for the "Maya" KDE version. Where can I download the KDE background? - Thanks!

Re: Panel Size
Interesting response. I posted this same question several weeks ago and received no response, so your response to this post is welcomed. Unfortunately I prefer the panel on the bottom, so for me this problem is still unresolved if your solution only works if the panel is on the top. Any chance this ...

Well, this post got a few reads but no answers, so I guess I'm the only one who thinks that this is an issue, therefore I will withdraw my question. Thanks anyway!

Re: If you had ONE request for the Cinnamon devs what would
I would like the ability to resize the bottom panel for better visibility on a large screen. The default panel size is just too small for tired old eyes like mine. With Gnome2 I always resized the panel to at least 36 pixels. Otherwise Cinnamon is a worthy replacement for Gnome and I like it fine. T...

Resize bottom panel?
The default size of the bottom panel in Cinnamon is a little small for a large screen monitor. In gnome2 I always set the bottom panel size to 36 pixels, but there does not seem to be a way to resize the the panel in Cinnamon. Is there an easy way to do this so that my tired old eyes can see it bett...

Re: LMDE 32 Mate/Cinnamon - Live install issues
Methinks LMDE-201204 still has a few problems. I had the same "xsession failure" initially, but after several tries it finally logged on successfully to the liveCD session using "mint" as the username. The live session is slow as expected, but seems to be OK otherwise. Install to...

Re: Linux Mint Debian 201204 Install problems
I had the same problem. Never before have I seen a login prompt when booting to a liveCD. I exited and started a new session and it came up OK, although slowly. I have been trying since then to install, but the installer always hangs up after a few minutes displaying the message "copying usr/li...

Re: inSSIDer clone/port for Linux available?
I am using inSSIDer successfully on LM9 thru LM11 and also LMDE, but it doesn't work with the new version 3 kernel. It appears to have a kernel dependency that has not been addressed yet. There are also a number of dependencies that are not available in the repositories for LM9, that must be indepen...

Mate Menu issues after UP4 upgrade
After upgrading to UP4 with Mate, I find duplicates of numerous Mint Menu applications. Both copies of these menu items appear to bring up the same application. This appears to be a holdover from the previous version. Is there an easy way to delete these duplicate menu items, to avoid having to do a...

Re: Desktop launcher icons?
Thanks for the follow up JJ. Guess I'm just spoiled to Gnome, where I just right click from the app menu and select "add to desktop".

Desktop launcher icons?
I have never used xfce, but would like to try it. I can't find an easy way to add launcher icons to the desktop. Traditionally I place icons for the applications I use most right on the desktop, such as Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. A fresh install has several icons already installed there, but i can't...

Re: Suggestions for making Cinnamon more user-friendly
One thing I miss with both Cinnamon and MATE is the ability to change the size of the panel and the desktop icons as was available in Gnome. That option is important for those of us with older eyes. Is this option coming in a later version, or is it just hidden in the current version?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Edit Grub2 default? SOLVED!
Startup Manager is probably what I am remembering, but it is not present in the LMDE edition. Don't know if it is compatible, but I'll look it up. Thanks for the clue.
UPDATE:
Found it from Package Manager, and it did exactly what I needed. Thanks again for the tip.

Edit Grub2 default?
I have a kernel compatibility issue with an application after a recent LMDE upgrade to kernel version 3.0.0, which is now the new default. How can I edit Grub2 so that the previous version 2.6.39 is the default kernel at boot instead of the new v3.0.0? There used to be a grubedit program to do this,...

Re: Restore access to boot menu?
Thanks Vincent, I was able to get it back up with the shift key and Grub recovery mode. Still not back to where I was though. The native resolution of the monitor is 1280x800, which didn't show as an option until I reinstalled the nvidia driver. Now I can set it and save it but it always reverts bac...

Restore access to boot menu?
Using Mint 9. I have it setup to auto boot, so I never see the grub menu. Somehow the splash screen resolution got borked and I tried to fix the screen resolution again from the startup manager. I must have picked a resolution not supported, because now all I get when I boot is the wallpaper without...
