Installer Error

I am trying to Dual boot LMDE2 from USB that I made in Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I installed btrfs-tools from live session to be able to install the / partition with BTRFS. I get following error message during install [Errno 21] Is a directory: '/target/usr/share/bug/systemd' I've tried it with two USB...

Re: Jumping to Testing or Sid

+1 to genec's suggestion. there's no reason using solydxk or ubuntu based iso if you want to get debian+mate. you can either use debian testing iso or install another distro based on debian which use mate. if you love LMDE you could 'mintify' your system when LMDE2 got released. you could use http:...

Re: Keeping Mate 1.4

Can I keep Mate 1.4 while upgrading to LMDE UP7? The reason I ask is this: Apparently there is a problem with the Mate Global Menu and Mate 1.6. IE: it doesn't work. I NEED the Global Menu and will not upgrade if I cannot keep it. Thank you in advance for your help. [url]http://forums.mate-desktop....

Re: LMDE Update Pack 7 - when?

Wish I could wait that long, had to switch some sources to Debian Wheezy in order to get my printer driver installed. Also, why can't we have more theme choices than Mint-x and Mint-z by default. I am sure someone loves the metal look with no contrast, but with my bifocals it is just plain hard to ...

Re: Mint KDE 15

I'm in no hurry myself. I know there is pressure to push the release out now that Kubuntu, Mageia and Open Suse have laid their golden KDE eggs, but I hope that Linux Mint 15 KDE works on incorporating KDE 4.10.3 rather than the older version. Kubuntu 13.04 already has 4.10.3 out. it was released j...

Re: Will LMDE ISO Ever Be Updated?

I don't understand why the RC isos became so. I mean, there's still some untested cases and they also has some failures, like EFI installation (every new computers has one !), home folder encryption and plymouth text theme, etc. Furthermore, there's some lacks like gnome-disk-utility (palimpsest, w...

Re: The unofficial LMDE Xfce UP6 SR1

  I think it's actually called xfce4-applet-plugin. It's what is used to add Mint Menu in Mint 13-14 Xfce. It seems an Ubuntu "thingy", but I'll have a look at it when I have some time. I got it to work in a VM just have to do the following steps to get it to work 1. install xfce4-xfapple...

Re: LMDE Xfce - UP5 issues

It was my understanding that I could change my sources to wheezy instead of testing and that would then be tracking stable when Debian 7 goes mainstream? My current sources.list is the default: deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest tes...

Re: LMDE Xfce - UP5 issues

how do I make a fresh install of LMDE Xfce track Stable this isn't the right timing for that, the existing stable is in the end of its cycle and try to make this lmde stable would be more trouble than it would worth. Or maybe I can make LMDE track Wheezy once it goes stable? this! once debian7 goes...

Re: Update Error in LM KDE 13

Your repos point to maya there is no ubuntu release called maya that is what linux mint 13 is called you just need to edit your /etc/apt/sources.list and change every instance of maya to precise, save the file then update your packages to upgrade packages and get rid of error
