Light-Up Keyboard

Hello all,

I recently got a new laptop with a light-up keyboard. I downloaded Linux Mind KDE 10, and booted it from a thumb drive. However, once it booted up, the keyboard didn't light up. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to change the look of my login screen, and I can't figure it out. Every tutorial tells me to access the "Login Screen" from Menu --> Administration, but all it gives me is this: http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/8548/77364178.jpg So can someone help me figure it ...

Odd Terminal Problems

Okay, so every time I try to use the sudo command in Terminal, when it asks me to input my password, my keyboard doesn't seem to work. No matter what I do, I can't input my password. What the hex going on, and how can I fix this ASAP?

*shrugs* Because that's what the guide said to do. I've since lost said guide, I'm not sure where it was.

Re: Problems

Unfortunately i do not.

Honestly, I'm just going to try reinstalling Linux. I don't suppose you have a link to another guide that I could use? The one I used was a bit old.

I believe so. That's how the guide I read told me to partition it.

Re: Problems

Oooookay. Something weird just happened. My computer wouldn't shut down properly, and when I switched it to data output mode, I saw this: http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/1807/p1070683u.jpg Unfortunately, for some reason my computer isn't reading the picture properly, so it's a bit ... garbled, but ...

Re: Problems

Was there ever an lspci posted in regards to the hardware? lspci -nn If there is a fsck at every boot, that is not a good thing, obviously. How was Mint installed? How are your partitions set up? Is there enough /swap to accommodate suspend/hibernate? Do you happen to have an Intel video chipset? T...

Well, as I've said, I do apologize for my bad mood. This really did end up turning into more of a rant. I've posted another thread over in support, which would be the proper place for it.

Re: I am disappoint.

Okay, guys. Seriously. I'll admit I was having a bad day when I made this thread, but so far all I've gotten so far are flames. I had expected this OS to have a helpful, supportive community, but so far I've seen very little of that. Dude`s harddrive has gone - Mint`s fault! Wait, what? How could yo...

Re: I am disappoint.

Yes, well, I have been considering dual-booting Linux for a while now. I even installed it inside Windows once and it worked fine. But now, I just installed version 10 on my computer, and I've had nothing but problems. I got no problem with trying to fix them, and if anyone has any solutions I would...
