Re: Cannot start cinammon after 18.2 upgrade

Maybe this is not a direct answer to your question, but I just had a similar issue. I upgraded from an older 18.x (can't remember which one) to 18.2 'Sonya'. The upgrade itself went fine, but once on 18.2 I couldn't activate the wifi on my laptop. So I connected my laptop straight to my router with ...

Speaking of other flavors, is there any news to find on the future of Mint KDE ? Are there any plans for a Mint Lisa KDE as there never was a Mint Katya KDE (yet) ?

Re: Linux Mint 11 "Katya" released!

Great job, guys. Just installed LM 11 Katya on a thumbdrive. Looks very nice. Congratulations to the whole team.
However, as I am rather a KDE fan, I will stick to LM10 KDE for a while (till Boo comes with a Katya KDE version).

Re: KDE 10 Issues

Does anyone else have issues with the graphics in the Lancelot menu ? I used Lancelot already with LM 9 KDE and there it worked fine. But when I open Lancelot now in LM 10 and move my mouse cursor over different items in the menu, the "selection rectangle" (maybe a weird description, but can't find...

Indeed, but if you look at the details, you can see 3 failed test cases. So probably there will be a couple of corrections before we get an RC or a release. The positive side is that you can follow up closely what's going on.

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Wow !! Boo is already there with a new version of LM10 KDE (64b) and it's already tested 75% ! Man, that's fast ! :D

Update :
In the mean time already rejected, but looking very promising ...

New update :
2 new versions (32b and 64b) available for test. Boo seems to be in super shape :D.

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

If it has been 100% tested what would be the hold up? Just curious. I don't know of course, but I noticed that testing on Julia LXDE Edition i386 stopped for a few days at 71.15%. So there may have been some problems with the test servers again ? This morning the testing seems to be started again. ...

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Mint was based on Ubuntu, which has always had Gnome as its default desktop, therefore it should be no surprise that Gnome is also the default for Mint. When references are made only to "Linux Mint", as opposed to "Linux Mint KDE", "Linux Mint Xfce", etc, Gnome is not specified, because it is assum...

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

As of Isadora, this is no longer true. In the Mint Blog of May 1st, 2010 titled "News update", Clem wrote, "Community Editions: No more references will be made to “CE”s. These editions will now become official and efforts will be made for them to be released as early in the release cycle as possibl...

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

You can do an upgrade from KDE-Isadora to KDE-Julia via the repos and a dist-upgrade already! I This time I'm not kidding  I have done so already on one of my machines. And yes, it's KDE-4.5.5 Packages are typically online some time prior to release. And my upgrade went absolutely OK (except o...

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Update time! I have built and uploaded the 32 and 64 bit versions of Julia KDE for testing. Both have been 100% tested with no errors found. Now it is time for Clem to give it the final blessing and they will be released. I expect this will be a Final version and not an RC. Any bugs that are found ...

Sure, don't worry about that. That's just a sign that the test team take their job very seriously. The good news is that the testing has started now and that from now on you can follow the further evolution on the iso testing page.

Re: Linux Mint 10 KDE

Additional stress was ...
