I fail to see what the text file has to do with it. I have reached the part in M-Flash where you choose the file with the update date but no file is listed.

I searched all the drives that were listed and didn't find the file.

Why should the browser effect the download? The browser should not change the file.

I agree. Best practice is to get the latest bug fixes and security patches.

Yeah, that's the real problem.

GRUB does print a message but it's gone so quickly I can't read it. The most I make out is that GRUB cannot find something, possibly a file.

Yes. That is the report with a DVD in the drive.
