Running Mint as only OS on my main laptop...works like a charm.
Tried Win11 but couldnt find drivers for the gfx card and that meant no hdmi output to tv, Mint just works out of the box =D

No biggie really since i have used like all of them linuxes, but settled on Mint cause i got old and tired of fiddling.

im a returner aswell, after a long time on a Solus install on mainlaptop.
After a restart it never came to life, no matter what, but i feel at home...Cinnamon for me :)

If its an external drive you can probably plug it in and then drag and drop to "music" "documents" and so on

when you add tracks, almost at the bottom there is cdtext.

Yeah i agree, Ubuntu forums can be that way aswell.

Arch is something you need to try out, especially when you have some fork like Antergos :)
But if you get used to it and hang in they have knowledge like whoa

Im a 5plusser that tought i was settled with latest Opensuse...but when i got my hands on Win10 i went all in. All was good up until i posted a screenshot of Win 10 on a Linux forum, after that it went apeshit crazy hehehe. So..latest LinuxFormat had the cd containing Mint so i installed the Cinnamo...

Read somewhere that an kernelupgrade might fix this?

In update manager there is an update, level5...safe to install?
I got pretty big knowlegde since ive been involved in different distros and hopping around, but now i just want stability...might be getting old =D :lol:

Got the same problem, finally fixed the backlight setting but i realla wanna solve this aswell.
No fun using powerbutton to restart
