Re: Ubuntu wil standaard diagnostische data gaan verzamelen

Re: Ubuntu wil standaard diagnostische data gaan verzamelen

Re: Brother hl-1112 can't print file over certain size

Also a certain pdf file wouldn't print on my Mint system, printing the file from Zorin OS gave no issues at all. 2 systems here run Zorin OS and mine runs Mint and I'm the only one with issues. Will also switch from 32 bit to 64 so hopefully this solves the problem. Which Zorin version do you have,...

Re: Rec. calendars? Google calendar on linux?

I have messed with a lot of calendar apps over the years, Android/PC Windows/Linux: and if you want true ability to always sync up and present your calendar info on ALL devices, you just about have to use Google Calendar. That's not true. I use the calendar from my mail provider : Mailbox.org and i...

Re: Brother hl-1112 can't print file over certain size

I have mine HL-1110 since september? 2015. In those days running Debian stable, later LMDE 2 and lately Linux Mint 18.x all MATE x64. The problems with some files are recent, but lately I have to do a lot of print work from scanned files, in the past I didn't, so I don't know if the problem longer e...

Re: what mail client do you prefer

Just installed Evolution. T-bird didn't work well with PGP/MIME lately. Evolution does the job. Besides that, Evolution don't need an extension to handle PGP keys.

Re: Forum has been upgraded (report issues here)

The 2nd image I got during the upgrade of the forum. After that all worked fine. Btw, is it just me or are the icons beside the topic titles more red then before? Correct. I took a pile of screenshots of the old forum so I can readily compare it. This is because the icon (on the right in below scre...

And a lot more money 8) When some one is having troubles with a password they should use something very simple, like their name backwards While that is probably better than having no password, simple ones like that are never a good idea; they're too easy to break, for a human, let alone a computer....

Re: Do most Linux users DIY or have OEM systems?

My desktop is a semi custom build computer (2010 September). Bought it at OS4Free.nl, (Maarten123 at forum.ubuntu-nl.org) unfortunately he has stopped his business. He sold computers pre-installed with Ubuntu or any other linux version you wanted. At the moment Linux Mint 18.3 MATE, Xubuntu 18.04 an...

Re: Alternatives to TeamViewer

AnyDesk works good. You don't need port forwarding (just like TV) while most other remote apps need it.
No nag screen when you close AnyDesk, TV has.
TV has 1 advantage, QuickSupport. You don't have to install this app so you can easily use it from a live session

<moderator on> "eight eight" is a (not so secret) Neo-Nazi greeting in Germany. Have done some cleanup, in order to remove it from the thread as best as I could, although I do believe that MintBean had the Chinese interpretation in mind. But for us Europeans the unpleasant connotation might be prev...
