He isn't cheap but you know his stuff is good and he stands behind it. I got lucky with the evil one on ...

Currently I'm using a laptop with a 2 ghz single core battery life on this one is s...

Re: I got a CR-48 in the mail today from Google

Congrats on the freebie looks somewhat interesting. Where i see this going is as pretty much internet device or in business travelling sales since it supports citrix and vpn . You could cut risk of infection to pretty much none and your sales guys vpn back to use secure productivity apps.

Re: Support for older hardware and computer illiterates

Lol sounds like my first pc 500 mhz amd k6 with 196 mhz ram. mint 9 with xfce should run at least as fast if she has 256 in ram lxde should run nicely too it uses maybe 10 to 20 megs more in ram. Personal choice here but i would go for lxde for myself I like the gui better

Re: Creating an image of the system partition in Linux?

I belive you can do that with aptoncd but think you might need to burn it to cd or dvd to move it to another partition but then I've never treid to move things from one partition to another in linux. Another option is remastersys if it is not in the repositories you can get it from sourceforge, just...

Re: How can I watch netflix "watch instantly"?

Afraid there is no such thing as a cheap legal copy of windows AFAIK windows starts around $100 give or take for a legal copy and pirating is not promoted here sorry. You may want to check sites like newegg or tigerdirect to check prices just off the top of my head.

Re: Mint doesn't make the most of my graphics card

Hi colnel that certainly is an old card the last thing I saw that supported it was windows 95. Somebody may correct me if I'm wrong but it could be it's just too old and not common enough for better support. I admit I didn't look too long but you might find drivers somewhere but just a quick look fr...

Re: No Wireless on Newly Installed Linux Mint

If I read that right it looks like you picked the wrong firmware for your wireless seems like you may have picked b43 legacy instead of the other one since yours is b/g capable. I'm not sure if you have to modify anything or just reload the correct driver. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me...
