Re: How to succesfully apply GTK3 themes ?

I use kde-gtk-config (installed from repositories). If I change GTK3 theme to something else and relog/restart it's still uses the default theme. Only time it's different is if I choose oxygen-gtk as both GTK2 and GTK3 theme. But then GTK3 -graphics are broken. There are monochrome square backgroun...

Re: LMDE howto get KDE SC 4.9.5

Thanks zz! I was hoping to find something like this. Now all I have to do is get enough time in one day to do all the prerequisite tasks.

Re: How to succesfully apply GTK3 themes ?

It sounds to me like you're looking for kde-gtk-config. I wrote an article on my site about how to get it installed with links to where to get both source code and .deb packages.

Re: The unofficial LMDE KDE UP6

thanks Schoelje, for this great distro... is it possible to upgrade kde to 4.9 ? since this package (http://qt-kde.debian.net/debian/) just released? KDE 4.9's available from qt-kde.debiant.net? Shiny! I'd love to hear how the upgrade works for you. I'm one of the interested folks Schoelje mentione...

Ok so my current setup with Mint 14 KDE. :) http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/008/9/8/kde_cold_blue_by_mmesantos1-d5qwvui.png Wow! That's one of the nicest KDE desktops I've ever seen. How'd you get what looks like a global menu bar at the top? He's über. He can do just about anything and us m...

Re: The unofficial LMDE KDE UP6

@BostonPeng You seem to have this chipset: Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN which seems to be supported by this driver: firmware-iwlwifi which is installed by default. DDM only checks for Broadcom (for now) because this is the one causing the most trouble for users. As soon as there are other chips...

Re: The unofficial LMDE KDE UP6

I've been noticing that ddm doesn't seem to recognize my wireless chipset, despite the fact that I'm online via a WiFi connection. I'm on a Lenovo T61 laptop but I couldn't find what kind of chip I get my wireless signal with. I'm attaching a screenshot of what the network management plasmoid says a...

Re: The unofficial LMDE KDE UP6

Could you redownload and install DDM? http://schoelje.nl/lmdekde/packages/ddm_0.5.1_all.deb The title should now change with the menu selected and I tried to solve the "no changes needed" issue graphically by only showing the message (you'll see what I mean). Morning, all. Just a quick qu...

This almost makes me wish I hadn't upgraded to UP6 already, but I discovered a great plus about UP6 last night: I can finally mount my external hard drive again! I think I spoke too soon. I tried to mount my external hard drive yesterday and I'm back to the "unable to enumerate" error. I'...

Re: Device Driver Manager - Help needed

Just wait! I think I found out what's causing this. It seems that the nvidia driver maintainers in all their wisdom changed the debconf of the installers. This means that, although the questions and messages that are shown when you run from terminal are the same, some became of another type: a simp...
