Re: no copy when highlighting text
Thanks austin.texas from your neighbor Pflugerville. Years ago I used parcellite and had forgotten about it. However it does not explain why Klipper quit placeing what I highlight into the clipboard as it did in Mint16KDE and I believe it did when I first installed Mint 17KDE. Now that I have instal...

no copy when highlighting text
In Mint 16KDE and older versions I could highlight text and it would be coppied then I could use the middle button (wheel button) to paste the text. I can no longer do this in Mint 17KDE. Any ideas?

Re: Knotes will not migrate
Nevermind about Knotes. I have decided to switch to Tomboy seems much less proprietary meaning you don't need Tomboy to read the notes as you do in Knotes.

Re: gpe-calendar
Thanks Buzzsaw, for your help. I guess I will just have to try and find another non-cloud based calendar that will allow note reminders on the date like a desktop calendar.

Re: widget and LibreOffice problems fixed w/reinstall
I was researching the problem online and tried some of the suggestions between our post so that is probably how the dates got changed. I gave up and reinstalled LM16KDE and now it all seems to work. Thanks for your help I guess I'll never know the original cause.

Thanks for your reply.WharfRat wrote:Did you by any chance remove any packages before you shut it down the other day
I didn't remove any intentionally. However my research makes me think some are missing. I din't even have any updates or added software that day that could replace or remove something.

I have run ito a situation that I wish some one more informed than I, could answer. I bought a new laptop computer (Asus X750JB) with Win8 pre installed and two 1TB 5400 RPM hard disk. I cloned the main disk to a 7200 RPM for safety while I worked. Then I cloned the main disk to a 1TB hybrid 5200 ha...

I don't know much about it either but I don't see a reason why it was added automatically instead of as an option. I am trying to find a way to disable it instead of just trying to remove it. I have quit it but it always restarts when I boot up and it is not listed in the startup programs via the sy...

I hope I am using the correct terms and this make sense to someone.
