Re: BLUE GRUB

Thanks Omenest,

I commented out the original text and subbed in your suggestion:

Code: Select all

set_blue_theme()
{
  cat << EOF
  # set menu_color_normal=cyan/blue
  # set menu_color_highlight=white/blue
  set color_normal=white/black
  set color_highlight=white/light-gray
EOF
}

BLUE GRUB

Hi all, This may have been answered but I could not find any solutions for it in the forums. The problem is the blue grub menu that's transposed on top of the Linux Mint default grub screen. I went so far as to change the grub splash image and the blue screen still shows up. My LMDE install is in th...

Re: LM XFCE or LXDE vs. Crunchbang Openbox or XFCE

Crunchbang (Statler Alpha release) with Openbox (post boot) runs at just above 50 mb of ram (at rest) on my machine and there's a GUI menu editor (which makes editing the menu fairly simple after installing a new app).

Re: Problems with Gnome Disk Utility

No I think it was more than that as I also converted a FAT32 partition to NTFS that I was using for my Windows XP pagefile system and somehow the new linux box I installed corrupted the partition... who knows??? :? Bottom line is today I ended up repartitioning my Linux partitions and reinstalled Li...

Re: Problems with Gnome Disk Utility

Hi caf4926, Thank you for responding to my. post. The same results are achieved when plugging in a usb drive. I believe the is due to a disastrous installation of a beta test distro on the same machine where my Xauthority file was wiped out (in Linux Mint) and I'm also having problems mounting other...

Problems with Gnome Disk Utility

Out of the blue, the Gnome Disk Utility does not recognize any of my drives anymore and upon initialization, the two panels are not populated with any drive data. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Re: Need a player for shorten file (.shn) (Audacious is bugg

Won't MPlayer handle this? Yes Brian (and I should have mentioned this in my original post), but given the nature of live concert recordings, they often require EQ settings to be adjusted for each show and Mplay does not have a graphical Equalizer. I've removed Audacious and reinstalled it and the ...

Missing XCFE Manuals

Hi,

In LM 9 XCFE, I'm trying to access a few of the XCFE manuals but they appear to be unavailable on my system. The ones in question are:

Settings Manager
Settings Manager Plugins
Filemanager
Application Finder

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Need a player for shorten file (.shn) (Audacious is buggy)

Does anyone have any experience getting shorten files to play on something other than Audacious or have a fix for Audacious? The play list in Audacious skips and it's very annoying when trying to listen to live concert recordings. VLC plays .shn files in Windows (I believe with the help of an additi...
