Re: Displaying folder sizes in Nemo?

Nemo quick preview should work fine with single or double click - it does with my current single click setup.

Re: Displaying folder sizes in Nemo?

Double Commander is a great Linux clone of Total Commander (most of its plugins are Linux-compatible!) which is a Windows clone of MS-DOS Norton Commander. ;-)

For displaying folder sizes in Nemo, I also made a feature request here:

Re: Displaying folder sizes in Nemo?

Actually, displaying folder sizes (instead of number of items) is something else.
I decided to submit a bug report because Nemo fails to compare source size and target space before starting copy/move operation.

Re: [SOLVED] Communication between Android phone with Mint 19.3

Although I know Cinnamon is based on Gnome, I didn't know that Gnome Shell Extensions could be installed and used in Linux Mint!
Does that solution really work under Linux Mint Cinnamon???

Re: Displaying folder sizes in Nemo?

It seems there are 2 possible solution paths for this: 1. Making a Feature Request (https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/issues/) 2. Creating a Nemo Extension so as to replace "the number of items" with "size" to be displayed underneath the folders. I think it will be much more usef...

[SOLVED] Nemo's CopyTo/MoveTo right-click menu options disappeared

After upgrading from 19.2 to 19.3 I've experienced only this minor problem which affects 2 others (rarely used) user sessions as well - so it should be a system-wide issue. I see that this came up also about a year ago (https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=280193) while upgrading fr...

Re: How to troubleshoot slow login

I think I've found it: it seems a new launcher I've recently installed, Albert was the culprit - probably its process of indexing files, apps, etc. was holding up the Cinnamon session. Although Cinnamon should be preventing such third party apps from doing such things...

Re: How to troubleshoot slow login

Meanwhile disabling all extensions, applets and startup apps reduced the time between user login and desktop from 15 sec to 5 sec. I re-enabled all all extensions, applets and some startup apps, it went up to 9 sec. I wish I could see details of these processes as well. DAMIEN1307 : Would you still ...

How to troubleshoot slow login

Today my system began to take too long from login (after entering user password) to desktop. How can I troubleshoot this? Some commands that I know seem to cover the earlier stages of system startup: systemd-analyze Startup finished in 4.639s (firmware) + 2.832s (loader) + 3.389s (kernel) + 2.241s (...

Re: Nemo Actions

A note of caution and a tip for users trying any action sourced from a third party. If the Icon-Name specifies an icon that doesn't actually exist in the icon path of your system the action won't appear at all in the context menu. So if you are having issues with an action not showing up commenting...

Re: Forum subsection: Nemo Actions

I've got a bunch of Nemo actions that I keep on intending to share via a dedicated Github repo and then invite people to submit others to be hosted on the repo. Maybe I'll get round to it sometime....as it stands they are scattered around the forum mostly.... Very good idea! I've found some time to...

Nemo Actions

Nemo Actions Nemo file manager allows users to add entries to its context menu, which means it will take only one click to perform some complex file operations, for example, involving a number of commands. The folder /usr/share/nemo/actions contains some default actions as well as an example of a N...
