Unfortunately , (please dont laugh) :lol: I deleated the wrong partition ! :roll:
So I've now had to relaod Mint.
Oh well we all make mistakes sometime :oops:

SOLVED Linux 10 and 13 both on same drive,how to remove one?

Ive been using mint 10 for a very long time .
Yesterday I installed mint 13 on the same drive. So now at boot it gives me the choice of 13 or 10
Now that mint 13 is up and running properly I would like to uninstall mint 10 without messing up mint 13.
How do I do this please ?

Monitor "out of range"

Just installed the new Linux 11 when I start up computer I now get the message on the Monitor "out of range" 93.0 kHz / 59 Hz Once mint 11 has fully started then everything appears to be OK. This didnt happen with any other version , anybody any ideas please ? PennyLurcher

internet slower with Linux ?

My internet is 30mb with Virgin ,I use a wireless connection. If I use windows 7 then check using speedtest.net my connection is 31.46 If I use mint 10 "Julia" check using speedtest.net my connection is 23.10 Can anyone explain why ? or how to fix mint so I get the correct speed please ? B...

the UUID'S were different, edited the fstab one and everything is OK now.
