Re: Compiling Mint LXDE like Gentoo

thank you, but isn't it complicate to "Mintify" it, would it not be better, if someone make a distro out of that. I heard, that the portage package-manager is very good. Combining the speed of Gentoo with the resource-saving simplicity of Linux Mint would be awesome. From http://en.wikipe...

Make mintMenu follow Gnome icon themes

It'd be really cool if there was an option for the mintMenu panel button to use the current theme's icons, just like the regular Gnome menu does. It wouldn't have to do that by default, and you could enable and disable the option.
All in favour? :)

Re: Banshee for Gloria !!

Yes Songbird is not bad, and the extension-system is great, there is a lot of stuff that do not work as I will t hat it works. From the support-side, there is no repository for Songbird :-( what make thy simplicity of updates worse. For the moment I wait for the next Banshee update, badly they have...

Re: Deluge 1.0

Run this from a terminal first:

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove --purge deluge-torrent-common
The old version conflicts with the new, and that will remove it.

Re: Ubuntu at Best Buy!

Hey if your going to go to best buy have fun with them. Use big words and confuse them. My personal experience soon after vista came out was something like this. I went in to look at a cheap laptop and one of the sales people comes over and starts explaining vista and how great it is. I then told h...

Re: Mint Debian

Once again, I must profess that Sidux is a poor choice on which to base a Mint variant because it is based on Debian UNSTABLE. I was once a user of Sidux and nyone who spends any time in the Sidux community will appreciate the tremendous amount of work it takes to maintain Sidux (e.g., Debian Unsta...
