Re: Super key + number shortcut (solved)
alejandrotch, You are welcome, glad it worked out for you with Linux Mint Xfce. I got to wondering about Linux Mint Cinnamon. Would it do the automatic assignment of shortcut keys of applications placed in the panel? And the answer is yes. It assigns super key/windows key + a number for applications...

Re: Super key + number shortcut
alejandrotch, Welcome to Linux Mint Forums! I don't think what you want to have with shortcut keys is possible in Xfce. Some shortcut keys are assigned as part of the installation but they are not assigned automatically when applications are placed on the panel. You can manually assign shortcut keys...

Re: Cassette audio to cd/dvd
It has been awhile but I used "Audacity" to do the analog to digital conversion. In my case it was from vinyl records to "WAV" files. Audacity worked well. Using Audacity, I captured each track/song from the record individually. With the WAV files created you can use "xfburn...

After you bring up gufw, do the command "dmesg" from a terminal window. I am using Linux Mint 18.3 and this is what I get in dmesg after bringing up gufw. nf_conntrack: default automatic helper assignment has been turned off for security reasons and CT-based firewall rule not found. Use th...

If so, did you use the same user id as the previous install? Without more information, I am guessing it maybe a configuration fil...

In System Settings, Appearance -> Theme, try changing the Windows Borders and Controls to Adwaita.
Changing to Adwaita in LM Cinnamon 18.3 stops the flickering for me.
