Re: The Floodgates Have Opened

Well, this is just my theory, rubbish it if you want, I don't care, I will continue to stand by it. When you are offered a choice to keep or replace a config file - Always, Always choose replace. You have to look at it from the point of view of a package maintainer. There are probably a million and...

Re: HOWTO: Dirty Hack to Replace Nautilus With PCManFM

btw worth to mention, that pcmanfm-nohal 0.5.3 is old, from 2008.. current is 0.9.8 in unstable repo (yes i use lmde with debian unstable repo, dont know which version is in testing/squeeze). that version doesnt support trashcan because it doesn't implement gvfs yet by that time, so any file that u ...

HOWTO: Dirty Hack to Replace Nautilus With PCManFM

first of all, this is a dirty hack to replace nautilus with pcmanfm. do this at ur own risk, i will not be responsible for any damages caused by this. again, DO THIS AT UR OWN RISK. i always hate nautilus, its kinda slow and sluggish. so i use this hack to replace it with pcmanfm, the default, light...

Re: Ettercap-GTK Stalls. (LMDE)

i think its because ettercap is old, its been 2year since its last update. maybe it had problem with newer gtk libs. i'm also had problem with it. it displays some error about gtk out of array or segmentation fault something. i solved it by just running ettercap via ncurse

Code: Select all

sudo ettercap -C

Re: [Defeted] VLC and movie player broken and few other issu

I wave the white flag now. It seems there is no easy way to get LMDE going smoothly as I'd hope. The root problem I now believe is down to: 1. Intel hates Linux. The Intel graphics drivers are retarded (tried the latest from LMDE). 2. Newer kernel would likely fix the intel driver issue, but LMDE i...
