hello edjon2000,
Thank you for this thread, I am in exactly the same position as you, a dual boot with Win 7 and now LM 19 (was 18.3 and worked ok) and thank you for the information about choosing boot in bios, will have to do that for a while, hope a fix comes soon.

Re: All these Level 4 updates lately ...

here we go again, another update to the 4.13 kernel, only just did one. not keen on this, why do they make the level 4 update visible when i have level 4 updates unticked?
I don't want to have to update kernels every five minutes :(

Re: All these Level 4 updates lately ...

Yes I'm having similar conundrums, I have a level 4 kernel update there for the latest 4.13, but have read how it may not go so good, on the other hand I have update manager flagged to not show level 4, but, because of all this hullaballoo about a sceptre meltdown I think they are pushing these to u...

Re: Linux Mint 18 “Sarah” Cinnamon released!

Thank you all for the information, I shall read this and see if I can have success. I download from my ISP so the mirror is trusted I am thinking though that it might be prudent to wait for 18.1 so that this release may mature somewhat, with the reported problems with the ubuntu base it makes sense ...
