How can I make this disappear? 2) Not so important, but curious - if I load Mint...

Re: Poor display of GIFs in web pages
If I open a jpg in gimp, and save it as a GIF, it looks fine.
It's only GIFs from web pages that are the problem.
Is that a clue for anyone?
Thanks!

Re: Poor display of GIFs in web pages
Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear, there.
Those 2 pictures are photographs I took of my screen with a camera, to show how bad the GIFs look to my eye.
They are then posted on my flickr account for you all to see and offer suggestions
Thanks
Pete

Poor display of GIFs in web pages
Hi Gurus... As you can probably tell from the title, I seem to have a problem with the display of GIF images. You can see from these sample pics, GIFs are spotty and low quality. Awesome, it was the little "-s" that made all the difference!randomizer wrote:
You want "ln -s /media/DATA
But if you mount this using /etc/fstab it should show on your desktop anyway.
I do mount it with fstab, don't know why it didn't show up.
Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the app (or it's website) has been updated for a couple of years.SiKing wrote:...You will probably have to contact the developers of the app with this.
I would still love to hear any suggestions for a linux scrabble program.
