i don't know if this file exist ( /etc/apt/sources.list.d ), but you can try :

 sudo gedit  /etc/apt/sources.list.d


Done, thanks a lot for the guidance actually it should be :

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bimsebasse-cinnamonextras.list

2- delete the ppa cinnamon-extras: it's not maintained anymore and the repo is closed. im using lmde with kde 4.5.3...tried to search source to upgrade my kde..but havent found it till now..

is there any repo on mint 10 kde that i can add to my repo so i can upgrade my kde to 4.6 ?

This is a new one. Its always better to do a fresh install instead of upgrading in place. Just make sure you back up you data first. You don't want to lose you Favorite Family Photos or you Favorite songs in upgrading :D i see thanks for the advice bro.. so even if im using a rolling distro..still ...

thanks for the advise...have read the thread but still confuse..cos it stated that we should add repository of ubuntu before install burg..what repository to add in LMDE ?

or maybe there is another easy way to install it ? cos im really newbie in linux...and im not an it guy :D

I found the solution to my sound problem. I went into pulse audio volume control to the configuration window. The default was input instead out outputting stereo. Works great. Thanks again for this great distribution! Bruce i had the same problem, did alsa and else with no result, see this posting....
