Apt-get and Levels

Hi

Do apt-get "install" and "update" ignore Update Manager's Levels configuration ?

I ask, because recently Update Manager told me that my system was up to date, yet at the same time apt-get told me my system had packages that needed to be updated.

Thanks,
Declan

Re: Driver murders the ootb aestectic

Another way of saying all this,is that my fonts are a little to big after switching to the proprietary nVidia drivers, and the GUI no longer looks as good as it did.

Any simple way of getting the fonts back to the way they should be ?

Howdy, Just started using Mint v9 KDE 32bit edition with latest updates applied with my Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop. Loved the "out of the box" experience, very smooth GUI. Re: Mint burns laptops, please don't leave it to another dis

What is the currently recommended software to have Mint LXDE 9 detect that a CPU is approaching an unsafe high temperature and then attempt to reduce the temperature by increasing fan speed and/or stepping down the CPU's GHz ? With my laptop, I've noticed that Mint LXDE 9 is not attempting to drop m...

Re: Mint burns laptops, please don't leave it to another dis

I would like Mint 9 LXDE to manage the speed and temperature of my laptop's CPU so as to run the laptop optimally and to not allow the CPU to overheat to the extent that it causes the laptop to turn off . On my laptop, Mint 9 LXDE with its default configuration and default set of packages (but with ...
