Re: Anti-virus programs from Linux Mint

I have never said I am a computer genius,I am not. And yes,I admit it, I probably am not very good at computers. But how much does one need to know to use a computer anyway? I only have basic knowledge of computers, nothing more. And yes,I am not very good at Linux. And I don't know much about how to...

Re: Anti-virus programs form Linux Mint

I just glanced at more of your queries in this forum and must say FIRST this is mint NOT windoze it does not need antiviruses, defragging or any such windoze things .Once you discover how Mint operates you will find it very easy to use. Just remember windoze thinking does NOT apply here (to quote Y...

Re: Anti-virus programs from Linux Mint

Well,I have got Windows 7, and I have not got any anti-virus programs on my computer. And I don't intend to have one.
And I have never had a virus on any of my three Netbooks, all Windows 7.

So you don't need an anti-virus program on Windows either. Andrea Borman.

Re: Thunderbird with Mint 10 works intermittently

I just want to ask. Do they have any anti-virus software that you can use on Linux? And if not,how do you protect your computer from viruses or malware on Linux? Andrea Borman.

Re: Thunderbird with Mint 10 works intermittently

I hate to burst your bubble, but the whole point of well written malware is that you don't know its there. If it does something like change your home page, it draws attention to itself, risking the possibility of being removed, but hey, feel free to leave us, you're clearly unable to take on board ...

Re: Thunderbird with Mint 10 works intermittently

I can use a computer but I just cannot use the email clients,Outlook Express and clones. And I am not alone in this as other people cannot use them either. And as for the anti-virus subject you mentioned. I don't believe in anti-virus programs because I don't like the idea of third party software ru...

Re: Thunderbird with Mint 10 works intermittently

Well,Thunderbird is another version of Outlook Express, made by Mozilla. The same people who made Firefox, which is much better and far more superior than Internet Explorer. So I don't understand how the same people who made Firefox. When they made an email client, they made it have the same system as...

But they have got THE EMAIL THAT NOBODY CAN USE on Linux as well. Thunderbird,Spicebird,Zimbra Desktop and others. All clones of Outlook Express. So we are stuck with THE EMAIL THAT NOBODY CAN USE on Linux and Windows. Andrea Borman. WOW, after seeing you're vids on myspace i can actually see where...

Re: Thunderbird with Mint 10 works intermittently

Well,I and my friends have renamed Outlook Express and it's clones of it. That is,Thunderbird,SeaMonkey Mail,Windows Live Mail,Windows Mail,Spicebird,Zimbra desktop and others-THE EMAIL THAT NOBODY CAN USE. Why do you insist on trolling to derail these threads? You've made your level of technologic...

Because it is exactly that, and as one of my friends said "You can't use it. It won't let you...

Anybody would think that Outlook Express and clones are people. They are not. They are just computer software and useless software at that. Andrea Borman.

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

I did not know you could just put the emails into folders. All right on G.Mail, there is a setting that says create folder. But I have never tried to use it. And even if I did use it,the email clients could still download it. But as I can't use them anyway,as I cannot get them up and running. The qu...

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

Most people are just ordinary home average home computer users like myself. And some people cannot use a computer at all. So Outlook Express and other email clients like it are only for advanced computer users. So not many people can use them. But when I saw someone using an email client in an offic...

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

Im tempted to set up a partition with windows and set up outlook just to prove her wrong at this point. A screenshot is worth more the 1000 words I never said that nobody else could partition their hard disks and do the complicated computer stuff. It's just that I cannot do any of those things. Tha...

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

I have not made any videos about-THE EMAIL THAT NOBODY CAN USE. I was thinking of making a comedy video about it. Well it would be funny that on video I would be trying to use that email. And every time I try to use it,it won't let me set it up. But I don't even want that software on my computer. Af...

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

Is that right? I thought that Outlook Express was invented by a person who was a stupid inventor. And a selfish one at that. Because whoever it was who invented it made sure that nobody could ever use it. It is as if they don't want you to use it. And why are there so many clones of Outlook Express,...

Re: Do you run Linux as your sole operating system?

Well,I don't know anybody else that can use Outlook Express and clones. Everybody that I know can't use it. So it's not just me. Andrea Borman. Almost everybody I know IS using them. I use Outlook (not Outlook Express) at home and at work. At home I have to connect to mail servers with non-standard...
