is there anyway to disable the authentication when making admin changes etc? im getting annoyed having to retype my password every time i uninstall or install a program.

to use virtualbox all you'd need is the installation disc for windows when you set up the vm. you can set the vm file to either a certain size or let it be dynamically expanding. VMing w/ virtualbox is incredibly easy.

Instead of dual booting I would suggest using VirtualBox and VM'ing windows.

whats the program? and all you'll have to do is type the executable (program) in the terminal. or if you want a shortcut just add a shortcut to the main menu and use the same command that you wouldve used in the terminal.

not sure but i think in LM11 its ctrl+escape. might try that.

you can right click on the program icons within the start menu and add to favorites...

downgrading to an older version of compiz might do the trick. the current version is quite buggy.

I think its something w/ LM11, cuz i unistalled compiz and am just using metacity and I still have the same problem. and when I use my N64 emulator in fullscreen mode the same damn thing happens!

do you think updating blender would fix the problem? i ran metacity instead of compiz and the same damn thing happened...

how would I go about doing that and whats the difference between metacity and compiz?

i'm running LM11 and whenever i use Blender3D in fullscreen mode it screws up other workspaces and the one its opened on. it looks like old static on a tv. the windowed version doesnt do this though. is it because of compiz or?

i'd suggest using tuxguitar instead of guitar pro. i know for tuxguitar to get sound I had to install timidity and have it run at startup, so that might work for guitar pro also.

i'm running LM11 and when I try to change the pointer to dmz black it doesnt. sometimes it will do a mix of the pointer schemes. like the loading circle will be the dmz black one but everything else is the dmz white cursor theme. any suggestions how to fix this?

i had to go to the boot options from sys config in the bios and enable usb boot, which by default is disabled. I'm trying to install LM11 via a USB flash drive, but I'm not able to boot from usb in my bios. I have a hp pavilion dv7. what I dont get though is that it supports usb boot and i have it in the bios config to boot from usb, but the option doesnt appear when i choose which devices to boot from. only...

Feel like a complete newb here, but where can I find the program to install LM11 from flash drive? I can find .exe for it but I cant find a native linux program for it...
